Art Of Music – Call For Artists
Beauty Art Gallery announces a call for artists, 18 years old and above, to submit artwork to the Art of Music juried exhibition.
Most of us love music, musicians, musical themes, instruments, social experiences of music and so forth. What happens when visual artists depict how music feels or what it means to them? Can your art express the nuances of music? Humankind has a long history of artistic expression. Archaeologists trace these activities to the Paleolithic era with cave paintings and bone flutes dating to about 38,000 BCE. That is a long history and perhaps explains our compulsion to create and admire these forms. The Art of Music exhibition seeks the visual expression of actions, feelings, and moods inspired by music, lyrics, and musical performances.
Entry Fee is $30 for 2 pieces. A third piece may be entered for additional $10. Exhibition juror is Nathan Durnin.
Awards of cash, merchandise, and publicity have a cumulative cash value of more than $1,000. Each award also includes a merit certificate.
