Caldwell Arts Council announces a call for 2-D and 3-D artist portfolios for the 2018 exhibitions at the Caldwell Arts Council and at an off-site gallery.

The Caldwell Arts Council 2018 Exhibit Artists selection committee will meet early in 2017. Artists will be notified in March of their decisions. Programs are supported by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
The Caldwell Arts Council is known for quality exhibitions representing multiple art media. Caldwell Arts Council 2018 Exhibit Artists’ artwork may be for sale (30% consignment) or not. All artwork is covered by our insurance during exhibitions.
Museum directors, art curators, and collectors visit our exhibits and often select artists to exhibit at their own location at a later date.
The Caldwell Arts Council has exhibited artwork from photography to watercolors, landscapes to abstracts, and fine art to folk art. Some of our exhibits have pushed the envelope beyond traditional comfort zones and created a stir in the community and beyond, Our annual Sculpture Celebration draws artists and buyers from the Eastern US as well.

The Caldwell Arts Council is a regional arts center that presents monthly and quarterly exhibits and education and collection programs to foster the cultural arts in Caldwell County, NC. Exhibits range from contemporary to traditional, 2-D to 3-D, digital, and beyond. The Caldwell Arts Council exhibits artists from across the country and has a reputation for quality exhibits.
The Caldwell Arts Council is housed in an historic 100+ year-old home at 601 College Ave SW, Lenoir, NC. There are four gallery spaces that have been renovated as professional exhibit spaces.
The off-site gallery at Caldwell Memorial Hospital (Art in Healing Gallery) is being rebuilt and refreshed along with a long-awaited renovation of the hospital itself. A new off-site gallery is being developed at the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center. The Caldwell Arts Council anticipates opening this new gallery in early 2017 with 3-month exhibitions.
The Caldwell Arts Council is an active player in the life and vitality of Caldwell County, NC. Our mission is to establish and maintain an awareness and appreciation of cultural arts in Caldwell County, encourage participation in arts events, and offer various educational opportunities and administrative services in support of artists, arts agencies, and audiences.
