Art Through the Lens – Call For Artists
Yeiser Art Center announces a call for artists for Art Through the Lens 2018. This exhibition provides photographers with an outlet for their art, encouragement for growth in their vision, and presentation and cash rewards for works of exceptional merit.
Deadline: 8 Aug 2018
This exhibition is one of the premier photography exhibitions in the South East United States. In 2017, Yeiser received over 600 entries to this exhibition, of which around 10% were selected for exhibition. Art Through the Lens 2018 will be on display from October 5 – November 17, 2018.
Each year from the works submitted, 50-70 images are selected for exhibition by a highly qualified juror. $2,000 in cash awards will be given in the following amounts: Best of Show $1,000, First Place $500, Second Place $250, and Third Place $150. Selected works will be featured in a full color catalog produced by the Yeiser Art Center and for sale during the exhibition. Selected artists for exhibit will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the exhibition catalog at a discounted rate. An awards presentation will be held during the opening reception.
