Summer – Call For Artists
The New York Center for Photographic Art (NYC4PA) invites you to a special call for entry themed Summer. Any images that represent summer to you are welcome. For those in the northern hemisphere, summer is from June through September and in the southern hemisphere, November through March. Whichever months your summer spans, it is the season of long days, warm temperatures, swimming, beaches, lakes, pools, and street hydrants splashing. It is also the season of charitable summer camps for inner city youth. The scope is broad, from sun tanning and baseball to kids making the best of it in city streets and bathing suits drying on the line. How do you capture summer?
Deadline: 23 Sept 2018
There will be fifty winning images. The prizes total $3000 and have a grand prize, three first prizes, three second prizes, three third prizes, fifteen juror’s selections, and twenty honorable mentions. Each of the first twenty-five winners have an opportunity to exhibit in a New York City gallery, the Jadite Gallery in Hell’s Kitchen. The exhibit runs for two weeks. In addition, all winners are posted in a gallery on our website and included in an exhibition gallery.
