Ann Dunbar [Certified Visual Artist – Calvados, France]
Ann Dunbar is a Side Arts Certified Visual Artist from Calvados, France.
Ann Dunbar is an award-winning mixed media artist living in Calvados, France. She was born and educated in the United Kingdom and has a Bachelor of Art degree in Art and a Teachers’ Diploma from Southbank University. Since she moved to France permanently in 1996, she has developed her art to find her own voice with original mixed techniques, full-time.
Ann’s idea of marrying her paintings on paper with embroidery is like a hymn to nature. The paintings come alive with shimmering movement and rich textural detail. Many of her works are in private collections world-wide as well as in various museums and cultural centres in Europe, Japan, Australia, China, and the United Kingdom.
Ann has participated in 45 solo shows and 120 group exhibitions worldwide. Recently, Ann received an NFT award from Biancoscuro Art Contest 2022, the médaille de vermeil 2022 from the “Académie Arts-science-Lettres,” a bronze medal with Artlookone France, and the “Collectors Vision” International Award 2021 from Contemporary Art Curator Magazine.
Ann is a member of Foundation Taylor, member and sponsor of TAFA (Fibre Arts) in USA, affiliate Artist of Circle Foundation in France, and member of Mondial Art Academia. She is represented by Shoalhaven Gallery, New South Wales, Australia; G&C gallery/agent in the United Kingdom; and Trevisan International Italy.
