Up to ten artworks may be selected and showcased for two years in the heart of Newport Beach in Civic Center Park. The 14-acre, ocean view site was specially designed by renowned landscape architect Peter Walker as an intended sculpture garden. There is no application fee.

An all-inclusive honorarium of up to $5,000 will cover transportation logistics, insurance, and artist’s fee. Tens of thousands of visitors walk through Civic Center Park every year, and frequently pose with and share pictures of the sculptures. At least one work has been purchased for permanent display and another for a private collector. Brochures, audio tour, and online promotion describe the work and artist. There is an annual celebratory luncheon debuting the newly-installed works.

This is the eighth cycle for the Newport Beach Sculpture Exhibition, which has become a beloved public art institution in the city. Several artists have become repeat exhibitors, embraced and celebrated by the community for the character of their work and how it activates the environment of the Civic Center.
