ANGELO BENEDETTO’S work goes back 30 years. After 18 years of commercial work in fashion and advertising he has returned to Fine Art Photography, this time in the digital medium.
ANGELO’S method of photographing urban life is to wander about the city in a receptive state, poised to capture encounters between anonymous subjects and their surroundings. He strives for a feeling of balance using abstract subjects such as cityscapes, doorways, historic alleyways, and more. But while spontaneous instincts are important in finding his initial images, refinement of the picture occurs in post-processing. Here is where his experience reflects expert composition of the images superbly printed on archival inks. The result is photography that is viscerally satisfying, bringing a feeling of both equilibrium and movement that satisfies and stimulates the imagination of the observer.
ANGELO’S work has been exhibited in juried competitions and hangs in private collections and commercial spaces.
