Self Employed Lampworker and Loving It! I am a proud member of the SRA and Lithuanian Folk Artist's society, glass artist and lampwork teacher.
Handmade art glass beads and jewelry by Dew Lampwork, unique home decor accents.

My name is Rasa, and I reside in Rokishkis area, on homestead, Lithuania, Europe. I have a wonderful husband, 3 daughters and baby son, dogs, hens, ducks, geese, sheeps, favorite plants. I have loved and collected glass, in some form or another, since childhood. My focus turned to glass beads in 2008 when on internet i saw Kandice Seeber amazing beads. I had no idea that it will eventually change my life! Also, at the same time came Trollbeads. At the same time, I have seen and creative freedom, and serial beads that were not free. I discovered quickly that famous brand beads are expensive, but the range is limited and every store has "the same" beads. I somehow found the term "Self-Representing Artist" and I was instantly won over by handmade artisan beads. In May of 2008, my husband helped to install my work place and I took an every day lampworking . I set up my studio. I wanted to learn, and had complete confidence in my creative and artistic abilities, but I studied the blind. I did not have nobody to consult or discuss. Everything has changed when I bought the book of Corina Tettinger, "Passing The Flame" on internet. This was my first extramural class and teacher. And that's all it took. I was hooked, an addict, a flame junkie, just like that. There is something mesmerizing about the glow and flow of molten glass. I love it! My torch is a Midrange Plus Nortel due fuel. It use a mix of oxygen and propane. I anneal all of my work in a profesional digitaly controlled SNOL Kiln. I devote as much time as I can to developing my knowledge and skill in this wonderful medium. One day I hope to expand my skills and studio beyond my home. My journey has just begun!!! I am a member of the Lithuanian Folk Artist's society, glass artist and lampwork teacher, my number of SRA # S227.
