I focus on expressive, narrative & conceptual imagery. I draw inspiration from nature, life experience and intuition. I make my works generally without sketches or models allowing the form to flow organically. I love using various mediums such as natural wood, homemade paper clay, papier mache, found objects (both natural & man made) as well as sustainable & recycled materials. Mixed media sculpture allows me to explore various concepts & themes; incorporated with exploration of different processes & mediums.
My passion for art extends to the work I create. I express my artistic & creative narrative reflecting elements regarding my personal story as a woman, Mother & artist. The intersections of these aspects fuel my imagination. Reaching to find a balance if possible and exposing the in between spaces where those roles intersect is one of the catalysts for my work.
Mixed media includes (but never limited to): wood, homemade paper clay, papier mache, found objects (both natural and manufactured). Natural materials such as bones, stones, wood knots and other malformations.
