150 years ago, what now is considered "traditional photography" was not widely accepted as an art form. Today, digital art is in a similar struggle to gain acceptance, with some in the art world denying that it is indeed art. Although tradition dies hard, rules are meant to be broken and redefined. Digital art is a part of breaking and redefining of the rules that allows art to evolve. Without this evolution, there would be no new art, no new ideas expressed, no progress, and everyone would always draw within the lines.

Some of my Digital Photographic Art is based upon a simple concept of capturing two or more images that will be combined together. I shoot the images trying to visualize what the end result will be. Another form of my Digital Photographic Art focuses just on the composition, knowing that I will drastically change the colors, shadows and highlights afterward.

Much of my Digital Abstract Art utilizes fractals that are textured, layered and color manipulated to bring out the underlying personalities that I see within the original fractal or fractals. Another form of my abstract work is based upon the spatial relationships of pairs of prime numbers. I create basic patterns and then extensively manipulate and layer the patterns.

I print my work myself, on a wide format printer utilizing a variety of fine art papers as well as printable canvas. I also do all of the matting and framing of my work, thereby having full control over the entire creative process.
