Summit Art Festival – Call for Artists

Summit Art, in collaboration with Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street, announces a call for artists for the Summit Art Festival.

The Summit Art Festival is a 3-day high quality fine art event in the heart of historic downtown Lee’s Summit, MO. It is managed and operated by the volunteer efforts of Summit Art members, Downtown Main Street members, and community volunteers.

A total of $3,000 will be given in cash awards, in addition to our Patron Purchase Program. Awards will be given for Best in Show, First, Second, and Third Place, as well as a Mayor’s Choice Award, a Directors Choice Award, and up to 3 Juror Merit Awards.

Artist amenities:

  • 90 plus exhibitors

  • 24 hour security
  • Electricity included in booth fee
  • Large portion of show budget committed to marketing and advertising

The Summit Art Festival is proud to announce its 9th year of operation. This festival, organized and managed by members of Summit Art, is located in the heart of historic Lee’s Summit, MO. Lee’s Summit, the 5th largest city in the state, has the highest median income in the Kansas City metro area and is committed to attracting professional artists while increasing both variety and quality of art for its 100,000 residents. The Kansas City Metro area has seen a growth in population of more than 10% since 2000 which brings the total area served to just over 2 million people.

Downtown Lee’s Summit has a unique variety of over 40 specialty retail shops plus several options for casual dining and entertainment. Included is the historic train station. A recently completed streetscape project has transformed downtown with new street lighting, banners, trees, and landscaping.

42nd Annual Art in the Park – Call for Artists

Steamboat Springs Arts Council announces a call for artists for the 42nd Annual Art in the Park.

The 42nd Annual Art in the Park is free to the public and features nearly 160 artist vendors, live entertainment, food vendors, and an interactive children’s art area. This popular and successful event takes place on July 9th and 10th over Hot Air Balloon Rodeo Weekend, which draws large crowds through a weekend of fun and excitement.

Around 10,000 people attend our festival located in West Lincoln Park, on the west end of downtown Steamboat Springs in beautiful Northwest Colorado. This Summer tourist destination draws art collectors from all over.

42nd Annual Art in the Park

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is devoted to supporting and promoting arts and culture in the Yampa Valley. We achieve this through planning, production, and collaborating with arts and humanities programs and initiatives that have a positive educational, cultural, and economic impact for our community as well as being excellent stewards of the 1908 historic train depot.

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, supported by our annual members, audiences, and local businesses. Large support has been provided by private donation, the City of Steamboat Springs, and regional and national grants.

The Port Clinton Artist Club is seeking artists to display and sell their original works at the 60th Annual Arts in the Park to be held on August 6 and 7, 2016.

Interconnections – Call for Artists

Off the Hook Arts announces a call for artists for Interconnections, a unity and diversity juried art show.

Interconnections is a collaborative arts event of classical chamber music performance, morning hands, and a juried professional art show. Local artists are welcomed to submit smaller pieces that reflect their impressions of how visual art and music interconnect in a relevant and meaningful way in our culture and time.

In an attempt to encourage purchasing of art work, we will place inserts in programs and in prominent locations in the gallery and advise patrons that purchased works can be donated back to our Off the Hook Arts Lending Library. In return, we will help find permanent public and private locations for art work to be hung which will be viewed by children and their families on a daily basis. The goal is to promote the value and beauty of visual art in every day spaces. Organizations involved in these gifts will be Poudre School District schools, local hospitals and rehabilitation centers, Habitat for Humanity, and Project Self Sufficiency.

Artists benefit from sale of works with a 70/30 split with Off the Hook Arts Academy education programs. Two tickets to the Grand Opening with music provided by the Miami String Quartet on June 23rd with food and wine reception included.
We are encouraging patrons to purchase works and donate them back to our Lending Library so that children can gain a deeper understanding about the value and beauty of real visual art work in the spaces in which they live.

Off the Hook Arts’ goal is to promote a deeper understanding of the value and pure joy of learning more about music, live performance, and the connectedness that all types of music have to each other. We seek to educate people about the importance of interdisciplinary interaction of science and music. We give youth the opportunity to have these experiences to spur on their own development whether it be from taking one of our SummerFest STEAM classes or by being coached in a chamber music group at their school. When youth are exposed to high levels of artistry across all disciplines, they will be inspired to think creatively about their own futures as scientists, artist, musicians, entrepreneurs, or whatever career they pursue.

Denver Community Church announces a call for artists for Art in Action Denver.

Art in Action is looking for artists who love Colorado and love to make and impact in their surrounding community via their art. This year’s theme for Art in Action is Colorado. We are looking for artists that focus on the beautiful state as inspiration.

Denver Community Church will select up to ten artists for the event. We ask that you are able to set up and tear down your own booth as well as be present throughout the event. Set up will be April 29 and the event is April 30 7pm-10pm at Denver Community Church Uptown Ballroom.

Booth space rental costs are a donation of one specific piece of your choosing with 100% of the proceeds from that specific piece going to the night’s beneficiaries, Dry Bone Denver and Mission Wear.

Art in Action Denver breaks down boundaries through art. We believe that by breaking down ideals of solidarity, walls built by religion, ethnic background, occupation, or sexual orientation, we can create a spirit of community and interaction between neighborhoods, generations, and social barriers. We intend to generate people’s sense of belonging through art in a specified habitat of growing and living together and bring a closer, warmer, more harmonious bond between downtown residents and an expanding community.

Northern Appalachian Folk Festival – Call for Artists

Downtown Indiana, Pennsylvania announces a call for artists for the Northern Appalachian Folk Festival (NAFF).

The Northern Appalachian Folk Festival is dedicated to preserving the past, promoting the present, and securing the future of folk music, art folkways, and other forms of cultural expression of those living in the northern tier of the Appalachian region. Through the involvement of artisans, volunteers, entertainers, and business partners, the festival presents an entertaining, educational and community driven event thereby contributing to the enrichment of the cultural environment of those living in the northern tier of the Appalachian region.

The festival features the work of artists, craftspeople, musical performers, and food vendors. NAFF also includes films, workshops, art exhibitions, excursions, and theater performances at numerous venues throughout the downtown area of Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Artists and vendors who live in or have roots in the Northern Appalachia Region are welcome to apply! An $85 early bird booth fee is available to artists who apply before April 30, 2016.

Artists will have an opportunity to share and sell their art with a large, diverse group of people in the Downtown Indiana area. This regional festival will have headliners Southern Culture on the Skids and Dar Williams who are sure to draw a crowd.

Awards will also be given to qualifying booths and fees for next year’s festival will be waived for winners.

The Northern Appalachian Folk Festival has teamed up with Downtown Indiana Inc. to bring this regional festival to the picturesque streets of Indiana, PA.

The festival is also interesting because it is not merely a festival, but a movement that is dedicated to preserving the past, promoting the present, and securing the future of folk music, art folkways, and other forms of cultural expression of those living in the northern tier of the Appalachian region.

Bay Harbor’s 17th Annual Arts Festival – Call for Artists

Bay Harbor, Michigan announces a call for artists for Bay Harbor’s 17th Annual Arts Festival to be held July 29-31.

There will be cash prizes awarded for the artistic quality of the artist’s displayed body of work. First prize will be $750, second place $500, and third place $250. These winners will also have their application fees waived in 2017 and will not need to be juried.

The Arts Festival supports the arts and artists and seeks the opportunity to display a broad array of art while encouraging the creation of high-quality art that demonstrates creativity and innovation.
