b.j. spoke gallery announces a call for artists for EXPO 40, a competition judged by Francesca Altamura, who has served as curatorial assistant at the New Museum in New York. She has curated and co-curated exhibitions of emerging artists and has a broad background in art history.
Deadline: 15 Nov 2020
There is an application fee of $35 for 6 images and/or 2 videos.
Since the exhibition will be online, there will be no shipping costs for the show and no size limitations for the pieces shown. Because the application is for up to 8 works, the chosen artist might have an opportunity to have a body of work on display rather than a single piece.
EXPO 40 winners will participate in an online exhibition in March 2021. The gallery will promote the show and display the winners’ work on the gallery’s website and social media. There will be three cash awards.
