[Side Arts Certified Sponsored Listing] LibertyTown Arts Workshop announces a call for artists for The Great Outdoors, a national juried art exhibition. There are so many worlds outside of our screens and four house walls. This summer Libertytown wants to see your art celebrating your exploration of the world outside. It could be photos of grand mountains, or small tadpoles in a pond at your local park. The only requirement is that it’s about the natural life that surrounds us. All mediums welcome.

A non-refundable application fee must be paid for each submitted piece before it will be juried. Payment may be submitted electronically via submittable or by check delivered to LibertyTown.
Application Fees:
- 1st piece (Non-member): $25
- 1st piece (Member): $15
- Each additional piece: $5
All artists age 16 and older, working in any media, may apply to this show. Work previously exhibited in LibertyTown’s gallery is not eligible. Work must be original and not from kits and made in the least five years.
Work accepted into The Great Outdoors exhibition must be for sale. Applications must be submitted electronically; no physical pieces will be accepted at the gallery for jurying. Work that will be displayed must be ready to show, with no unfired media, no wet paint or other unfinished surfaces. LibertyTown will provide pedestals and shelving as needed. LibertyTown reserves the right to reject works accepted by the juror due to content, space constraints, or inability to properly install the work.

- 7/28: Show closes, unsold work may be picked up/will be shipped back

Awards:

LibertyTown keeps a commission of 40% on all show sales. Artists are responsible for any costs related to transporting accepted work to the gallery and transporting unsold work away at the end of the show. Artists applying to this show grant LibertyTown Arts Workshop unlimited non-exclusive right to use images of accepted work to promote the exhibit and the gallery.
About LibertyTown Arts Workshop
LibertyTown Arts Workshop is a 13,000 square foot art facility located in downtown, Fredericksburg, Virginia. LibertyTown is home to over 80 artists, working artists’ studios, and a full spectrum of art classes offered to the public. Main gallery Shows rotate monthly. This ensures that LibertyTown is always presenting new items for local patrons to enjoy and experience. LibertyTown features show items for viewing and sale on their website and features show items on Facebook and Instagram pages. Located downtown, the location is walkable, and they have many visitors local and visiting. LibertyTown participates in First Friday art receptions, which is a well-attended event that happens monthly.

[Side Arts Certified Sponsored Listing] Decatur Arts Alliance announces a call for artists for Decatur Artway Phase VIII.
The Decatur Artway kicks off another year as Decatur’s outdoor gallery, featuring dynamic sculptures scattered throughout the city of Decatur, Georgia. Sculptures will be displayed on temporary loan for two years, creating an engaging rotating collection of public art around town. An interactive online map will permit public engagement and increase accessibility, and a plaque at each installation site will detail information about the artist and the sculpture.

The Decatur Artway is presented by the Decatur Arts Alliance in partnership with the Decatur Tourism Bureau and the Decatur Downtown Development Authority. The sculpture must be available for the duration of the two-year contract. All submissions must be professionally constructed of durable materials which will withstand the elements. No maquettes or renderings will be considered for selection. Decatur Arts Alliance will only accept existing and ready-to-install works.

- Artist Notification: October 15, 2024
- Artwork Delivery Deadline: December 15, 2024
- Exhibition Dates: November/December, 2024 – November/December, 2026
Decatur Artway Artist Benefits
Selected artists will be awarded an honorarium of $2,000. The installed work may be available for sale. Artwork sold as a result of the Decatur Artway will be subject to a 20% commission, which will be deducted from the purchase price and retained by the Decatur Arts Alliance.

Using the theme of water, Zephyrhills is the City of Pure Water and the City’s new tag line is Jump Right In. The first art project will be murals created for locations within the City’s historic downtown district. Jump Right In is open to all professional artists, with prior experience of creating and implementing the design of large outdoor murals that foster a unique sense of place.
The Review Committee will select up to three (3) artists to create an original mural design incorporating water and the City’s tag line, Jump Right In. The three (3) selected artists will be compensated $500 for their time in creating a site-specific design rendering. The top-ranked artist or artist team will be compensated up to $10,000 for original large scale mural. The City of Zephyrhills is home to many downtown festivals and events that will showcase the artwork. There will be a series of public art projects in the downtown area of Zephyrhills.

[Side Arts Certified Sponsored Listing] The Human Impacts Institute announces a call for artists for the Urban Environmental Health Lab (UEHL) Fellowship. Through collaboration with environmental health experts, artists, and youth leaders, fellows will engage in innovative projects aimed at tackling environmental health threats and promote pollution prevention tools.

Artist and youth fellows will be in-residence at local, New York City environmental justice organizations, learning about their work, communities, and needs for creative communications and engagement. Together, equal justice groups, youth fellows, and artists will develop a creative project (i.e. film, social media campaign, installation, performance) to deepen the cultural connection(s) between climate justice and community-based solutions.
These projects will be celebrated during Climate Week NYC 2024. The Urban Environmental Health Lab (UEHL) fellowship program is designed to empower underrepresented communities in New York City by addressing urban soil, water, and air challenges. Artists will receive a stipend of 1000 USD upon completion of the program.

Submit your work to the NATO mural competition – an opportunity to showcase your talent and artistic vision of the future. This is NATO’s 2nd mural competition. In January 2024, NATO unveiled its first public mural, created by street artists in Vilnius, Lithuania, to celebrate the summit held in the city in 2023 and symbolise NATO’s collective defence mission.
The winner of this year’s NATO’s mural competition will get to work with a Washington, DC, street artist to develop their artwork. The design will be featured as a permanent mural on a wall in Washington, DC.
Additionally, top artworks from this year’s mural competition will be displayed at an exhibition at the 2024 NATO Summit venue in Washington, DC.

[Side Arts Certified Sponsored Listing] The Keller Public Arts Board announces a call for artists for the 2024 Old Town Keller Rotating Sculpture Program.

In 2017, the Keller Public Arts Board (“Board”) implemented a rotating public art program for outdoor sculptures in the newly updated Old Town Keller West area. A $1,500 honorarium is available for five pieces selected by the Board for the eigth year of the program.
The City of Keller invested over $4 million in improvements for the Old Town location, including the addition of approximately 170 parking spaces; construction of a linear pedestrian promenade; improved streetscaping and landscaping; addition of outdoor seating and community areas; and installation of 11 concrete sculpture pads. Old Town is home to an eclectic blend of restaurants and small businesses that, in combination with the public improvements, attract a variety of visitors and provide great exposure for art in the area.
For 2024, the Public Arts Board will select up to 5 sculptures for a two-year exhibit beginning in June 2024 and will host the sixth Keller Art Walk event on October 26, 2024. Artwork will be for sale for the duration of the exhibit with a 25% commission collected by the City of Keller.
Old Town Keller Rotating Sculpture Program Artist Benefits
A $1,500 honorarium shall be awarded to each artist for each piece of that artists sculpture chosen for the installation, exhibition, and removal of the artwork for a two-year period. One-half of the stipend will be provided to the artist upon selection and the remainder shall be paid upon completion of a successful installation. The existing 5’x5’ concrete pads shall be used for display and the City of Keller may provide some assistance with installation and removal of the artwork. One Best in Show winner shall be awarded an additional $500 on or before the Keller Art Walk on October 26, 2024.
About the Keller Public Arts Board
The Board hopes to expose the local community to different types of art, increase tourism, and encourage visitors to the Old Town area by providing a dynamic and engaging exhibits. The program provides bi-monthly art shows in Keller Town Hall, 15 permanent public sculptures, an annual Fort Worth Symphony concert, and smaller concerts throughout the year. A highlight of each season is the Annual Keller’s Got Talent Art Show and Competition which brings together local Keller and Keller ISD artists. The show gives local artists the opportunity to have their works seen and appreciated.
