The Decatur Arts Alliance (DAA) invites you to apply for booth space in the 32nd annual Decatur Arts Festival 2020. The festival will be held on the square in historic Decatur, GA, just minutes from downtown Atlanta. The Artists’ Market will be open on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 23 from 10 am until 6 pm, and on Sunday May 24 from 11 am until 5 pm. The festival features continuous entertainment and performing arts in the Community Bandstand adjacent to the Artists’ Market. Food vendors, a Fine Arts Exhibition, the ArtWalk, Theater, New Dance, and a Children’s Festival are part of the festival activities.

The Decatur Arts Festival 2020 is produced by the Decatur Arts Alliance, LLC, a 501 (c) 3 organization, supporting the arts and arts education in Decatur, GA.
Cash prize for Best of Show is $1000, Second Place is $700, Third Place is $500. The Best of Show winner will receive an invitation to the 2021 show free of charge. Second and Third Place will receive invitation to the 2021 show at half price.

The Decatur Arts Alliance is a nonprofit partnership of artists, business owners, and residents dedicated to supporting and enhancing the arts in the city of Decatur. The DAA sponsors the annual festivals and special art events for members only. Button Art is seeking artist submissions for button sculpture installations following Gwinnett’s Bicentennial Anniversary. To further the love of art in Gwinnett, Button Art – in collaboration with artists across all mediums and boundaries – will manage, create, and install 200 original button sculpture installations throughout Gwinnett inspired by the County’s 200th birthday and celebrating the future of Gwinnett. Each button sculpture will have a plaque bearing names of sponsors and the artist.

Button Art provides an art presence for the local community by collecting and curating a wide range of art submitted by local and national artists.
Button Art works with the County to provide access to public areas for the display of the art; collaborate with local and national artists; select artwork to be applied on sculptures; identify the causes and create the themes for the sculptures; and manage production, delivery, and installation of the sculptures. Additionally, Button Art organizes community events to publicize and showcase the art and artists behind the art and raise funds to further develop the culture of art across the County.

The Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage announces a call for artists for Celebrate Creativity, an art showoff and sale. To be held Saturday, November 9th at 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday, November 10th at 1 pm to 4 pm.

Submit up to three pieces of artwork inside and reserve a 10X10 space outside to set up a display booth. More than one medium is allowed; however, only one artist is allowed per booth. Each artist should register and pay for a booth separately. Please provide at least two photos of each medium you will bring. The Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage will display as much art as the building and grounds allow. When the limit is reached, entries will be cut off. This is not a juried show. The Museum needs to know what art is coming so they can plan how to display it. A qualified judge will select the most creative and skilled work. Celebrate Creativity prizes totaling at least $1,500 will be awarded.

The Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage is housed in a 115-years-old architectural treasure that was originally the First Methodist Church. The building was the first brick church built in the community. It brought a refined elegance at the turn of the century to the growing rural town. The Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage serves as a cultural anchor for downtown Tifton. It provides regular arts, education, and cultural programming to people of all ages and interests. In addition, the facility is frequently rented for weddings, receptions, and a variety of community social and civic events. The vision is to serve as a gathering place to celebrate the arts through a variety of artistic and educational programming, events, and functions.
