The Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce announces a call for artists for the Littleton Arts And Culture Festival 2019. This is the 50th year of what had been known as the Littleton Art Festival. For the 50th anniversary celebration the Chamber has re-imagined this event to be a celebration of arts, culture, and community. On Saturday, September 21st, the Chamber will welcome a diverse group of artists and visitors from around the region to celebrate art, culture, and community together.

The Littleton Arts And Culture Festival 2019 is open to painters, sculptors, musicians, performers, poets, jewelry makers, designers, and culinary artists. Artists of all kinds will be greeted with a diverse audience to view, interact with, and purchase their craft.

49th Annual Littleton Art Festival – Call For Artists

The Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a call for artists for the 49th Annual Littleton Art Festival. The festival will begin Friday evening with special events. It continues all day Saturday featuring artists, shopping, entertainment, and activities all around downtown Littleton. The Littleton Art Festival is open to fine arts media including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, jewelry, pottery, stained glass, and fiber.

49th Annual Littleton Art Festival artists will be able to purchase booth space to exhibit and sell their creations. The festival has drawn crowds from across the country who come to experience the beauty and charm of the White Mountains region. Friday night will include an artist reception. Event will be held rain or shine.

Artist Residencies Winter Spring 2018 – Call For Artists

The MacDowell Colony announces a call for artists for their Artist Residencies Winter Spring 2018. Residencies provide time, space, and an inspiring environment to artists of exceptional talent.

A MacDowell Fellowship consists of exclusive use of a studio, accommodations, and three prepared meals a day for two weeks to two months. There is no cost for the Artist Residencies Winter Spring 2018; however, artists are responsible for materials and travel expenses. In order to open the residency experience to a wider, more diverse community of artists, MacDowell offers two financial assistance programs to those who have been awarded a residency. Through the generosity of several foundations and individuals, need-based stipends are available to artists who would not otherwise be able to afford the time away that a residency requires. Additionally, travel reimbursement grants are available to defray the cost of travel to and from New Hampshire. MacDowell encourages applications from artists representing the widest possible range of perspectives and demographics. The sole criterion for acceptance is artistic excellence.

Artists will benefit from the freedom to create in an inspiring and rural environment away from daily distractions. There is no requirement for our artists to complete a specific work while in residence. Each artists receives their own private studio space in which to pursue their creative projects. Artists have access to a state of the art library 24 hours a day throughout the duration of their stay. Additionally, every participant engages with a diverse community of artists in a variety of disciplines for daily meals and through nightly social activities such readings, films, and presentations of one another’s work.

Artist Residencies – Call for Artists

The MacDowell Colony provides time, space, and an inspiring environment to artists of exceptional talent. A MacDowell Fellowship, or residency, consists of exclusive use of a studio, accommodations, and three meals a day for up to eight weeks.

Deadline: 15 Apr 2015.

There are no residency fees. Stipends and travel reimbursement are available based on need. Emerging as well as established artists are invited to apply. Applicants who are in a degree program as of the date of application are ineligible for a residency and therefore cannot apply.

MacDowell provides artists with an opportunity to explore creative work without daily interruptions in an inspiring environment. The Colony is made up of a community of interdisciplinary artists that provide support and encouragement to fellow artists.
