Secrets are everywhere. They can be harmless like a secret meadow in a forest, made with good intentions as not to hurt feelings, or deceitful and devastating. There is no end to what a secret can be and humans have always had them. Can you keep a secret? Is the best part telling?
In this exhibition, Libertytown Arts wants to see secrets. They promise not to tell. Visually interpret your secret, a secret place, or your ideas about secrecy.

About LibertyTown Arts Workshop
LibertyTown Arts Workshop is a 13,000 square foot art facility located in downtown, Fredericksburg, Virginia, located halfway between DC and Richmond and a tourist destination rich in history.
They are home to over 80 artists and feature a main gallery, working artists’ studios, and full spectrum of art classes offered to the public. Main gallery shows rotate monthly. This ensures that they are always presenting new items for local patrons to enjoy and experience. Artwork featured in shows are shown for viewing and sale on the LibertyTown website, Facebook, and Instagram. LibertyTown participates in First Friday art receptions, which are well-attended events that happen monthly.

About Gallery Underground
Gallery Underground is in the heart of National Landing in Arlington, Virginia, directly across from the new Amazon headquarters. Shows are both in person and online. Gallery Underground is an Arlington Artists Alliance gallery promoting the works of established and emerging regional artists. Their mission is to make regional fine art accessible to the public through monthly exhibits, special events, and art workshops. They have won awards including the Best Art Gallery in Arlington from the Best in NOVA awards for the years 2015, 2019, 2020, and 2021 as well as an Arlie in 2021.
The Arlington Artists Alliance is a non-profit established in 2000 to serve and support visual arts in Arlington County. The Alliance seeks to provide professional development activities for local artists and serve the community through exhibits, instruction, scholarships, mentoring, and outreach projects. The Alliance provides a support network to members, allowing regional artists to share ideas. The Arlington Artists Alliance is supported in part by the Arlington Cultural Affairs Division of Arlington Economic Development, Arlington Commission for the Arts, Virginia Commission for the Arts, and National Endowment for the Arts.

Application Fees
- 1st piece (Non-member): $25
- 1st piece (Member): $15
- Each additional piece: $ 5
Work accepted into the show must be for sale. Applications must be submitted electronically; no physical pieces will be accepted at the gallery for jurying. Work that will be displayed must be ready to show, with no unfired media, no wet paint, or other unfinished surfaces. LibertyTown will provide pedestals and shelving as needed. LibertyTown reserves the right to reject works accepted by the juror due to content, space constraints, or inability to properly install the work.

- 2/20: Notifications sent via Submittable Only
- 2/28: Accepted work due at LibertyTown by 8PM
- 3/4: Opening reception, virtual tour at 1pm, and show opens at 5pm.
- 3/27: Show closes, unsold work may be picked up/will be shipped back
Put A Bird On It Exhibition Awards
- 1st Place: $300

LibertyTown keeps a commission of 40% on all show sales. Artists are responsible for any costs related to transporting accepted work to the gallery and transporting unsold work away at the end of the show. Artists applying to this show grant LibertyTown Arts Workshop unlimited non-exclusive right to use images of accepted work to promote the exhibit and the gallery.
You will be notified via Submittable if your work is accepted. Please make sure your email address is correct when you sign up and that you check the site on or around the notification date. Accepted work must arrive at LibertyTown by the stated due date. Artists are responsible for any costs related to transporting accepted work to the gallery and transporting unsold work away at the end of the show.

LibertyTown Arts Workshop is the largest art center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. They are located in Historic Downtown Fredericksburg, which provides a lot of foot traffic from visitors to the area and is conveniently located halfway between Washington, DC and Richmond, Virginia. LiberyTown has a full educational visual art class program and pottery studio where participants can work and take classes. They house and represent close to 80 local artists in almost all mediums.
LibertyTown holds monthly gallery shows. Juried shows offer cash prizes for applicants in the top three positions. LibertyTown promotes gallery shows through local media, on their website, and social media. They are open to the public Mondays through Saturdays at 10 am – 8 pm and Sundays at 10 am – 6 pm.
