Viewfinder (Miami, FL) – Call For Artists

The Miami Circle of Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the first International Annual Photography Competition and Juried Exhibition, Viewfinder, for emerging photographers. The objective is to explore the view of the artists as they see the world through their lenses, so there is no specific topic for this competition. Artworks will be judged based on creativity, excellence, composition, originality and artistic ability.

Deadline: 31 Aug 2019

The top artist submissions for Viewfinder will participate in the juried exhibition. The best pieces will be awarded first, second and third places, and honorable mentions if applicable. The first place will win a two month residency at the MCCA Gallery and an opportunity for an exhibition, along with national and international exposure, diploma, and award. Second and third places will win diploma and award. Honorable mentions will be given a diploma. All selected artwork will be in the heart of the Miami Design District where top buyers and stores are located and easily reached.

The Miami Circle Contemporary Art is an art gallery located in the heart of the Miami Design District, the top district of Miami for art, shopping, and high end events and restaurants. Japan Day Art Contest 2015 – Deadline Extended

Japan Day @ Central Park is now preparing for Japan Day 2015, which will be held in Central Park’s Bandshell area in May 10th 2015. We are thrilled to announce our 4th Annual “Japan Day Art Contest.”

Deadline: 22 Feb 2015 (***Submission deadline is extended to February 22nd, 2015!!!***)

The winning artwork will become the official image of Japan Day @ Central Park 2015 and will be used for our Official Poster, Program, Flyer and T-shirts. The grand prize winner will also receive a pair of round-trip Economy Class tickets to Japan, provided by ANA. Another delightful news is that Jazz Pianist Senri Oe, who is widely known in Japan and is now based in New York City, is joining the Japan Day Art Contest as one of our jurors. A special “Senri Award” will be presented to one of the entries, and the Senri Award winner will receive a special prize autographed by Senri Oe. In addition, several artists will receive honorable mentions. The grand prize winner, Senri Award winner, and all honorable mention winners will each receive a digital camera provided by Nikon Americas Inc. Moreover, their artwork will be displayed at an exhibition space on the 18th floor of the Consulate General of Japan in New York. All winners will be honored at an award ceremony on the day of the event.

Japan Day @ Central Park is a highly anticipated annual event in spring that celebrates Japanese culture with New Yorkers. Like traditional Japanese summer festivals, it provides food and activity tents as well as a stage program displaying a wide range of Japanese culture, including both traditional and contemporary performances. Artists can learn more about Japan in creating artwork that will include themes of “New York,” ”Japan,” and “Central Park”, and it’s the event’s goal to build bridges of culture understanding between people of Japan and U.S.

Artshow.com is currently accepting entries for the 11th annual Art Kudos International Juried Online Competition. Open to all artists 18 and older. Cash awards totaling $4,500.

24th Annual National Exhibition Call for Entry

Oil Painters of America will hold its Twenty-fourth Annual National Exhibition of Representational Oil Paintings, May 1 through May 25, 2015 with Cutter & Cutter Fine Art at their Brilliance in Color Gallery located in St. Augustine, Florida.

Deadline: 23 Jan 2015.

Approximately 30 awards will be given with a total value estimated in excess of $80,000, including a $25,000 Best of Show. Juror of Awards is renowned Master Signature Artist Huihan Liu OPAM. A full-color catalog will be available.

To enter, artists must reside in the U.S., Canada or Mexico and be a paid 2015 member of OPA at an annual fee of $70. OPA is currently accepting new member applications. To become a member, please visit: OPA Membership.

National Exhibition entry fee: $30 for the first entry, $15 for the second. Maximum Size Unframed: 1200 square inches.

Ventitre01 – The Call is open to all the Italian and foreign artists from all over the world. We are searching for works of painting, drawing, graphic design, computer graphics, photography to publish them in our catalogs and promote the selected artworks by our initiatives and exhibition events, the originals as well the limited edition certified copies we produce.

We offer visibility, presence, and real promotional opportunities: a multiple access to the market.

What we offer: 360° promotion, real on line presence, 60% on the sale of the originals and 30% on the sale of the limited edition copies, 2 copies of each paper catalog we are going to publish, with no expenses for the selected artists, that remain on our collections even after the next editions, year after year. We are a brand, but also an association.

Our goal is to create a real market, and this aim means working on personal artistic growth respecting each one’s path and inspiration. The artists are not and should not be the target of the art promoters, because they are the makers. We want to reach all the people that are interested in art, or simply desire to treasure art in their life.
