[Sponsored Listing] Dogwood Arts announces a call for artists for the Regional Art Exhibition, showcasing fine art of all kinds from emerging and established artists throughout the Knoxville, TN, region. The juried exhibition will be on display in the upper gallery at the Emporium Center in Downtown Knoxville from June 4-25, 2021. An independent juror with significant ties to local, regional, and national creative culture will review each application, select the participants, and award monies totaling $2,000 at the opening celebration on Friday, June 4th from 5-8 PM.

For the 2021 regional art exhibition, artworks must have been completed in the last two years by artists 18 years of age and older that live permanently within 500 miles of Downtown Knoxville.
- Sunday, May 9th (11:59PM): Application deadline ($15 Fee – 100% of the application fees cover award monies)
- Monday, May 17th: Notification of acceptance via email
- Tuesday, June 1st: Artwork must be delivered to the Emporium Center (Artwork can also be delivered or mailed to the Dogwood Arts office May 17th-21st)

The exhibition will be juried by Althea Murphy-Price. Murphy-Price began her studies in Fine Art at Spelman College before receiving her Master of Arts in Printmaking and Painting from Purdue University and later studying at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University where she earned her Master of Fine Arts. Her artwork has been shown widely throughout the country as well as international cities in Spain, China, Japan, Italy, and Sweden. Her writings and work have been featured in such publications as Art Papers Magazine, CAA Reviews, Contemporary Impressions Journal, Art in Print, Printmaking: A Complete Guide to Materials and Process, and Printmakers Today.

The Dogwood Arts Regional Art Exhibition is a top notch showcase of emerging and established artists in the South. The 56th Annual celebration of the Dogwood Arts Festival is seeking artists and will be held during April, 2017 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

A featured event of Dogwood Arts, the annual Dogwood Arts Festival will be held April 28-30, 2017 in the heart of downtown Knoxville.
The Dogwood Arts Festival is a popular outdoor event featuring fine art and fine craft, folk art, live music and dance performances, artist demonstrations, and hands-on activities for kids and adults in the heart of downtown Knoxville. The Festival is located on Market Square, along Market Street and Clinch Avenue, and in Krutch Park against a canvas of blossoming trees and outdoor sculpture. Attendance is estimated to be around 100,000 for this free event. The Festival receives significant advertising and editorial coverage throughout East Tennessee and the region.
Artists are eligible for several cash awards during the Dogwood Arts Festival including Best of Show, Artists Choice, and three Honorable Mention Awards. Booths will be evaluated Friday and awards will be announced on Saturday as soon as the judging is complete. Our 2016 awards will total $1,500.

Art In Public Places Knoxville (AIPPK), now in its 10th year, is a featured presentation of Dogwood Arts.

In partnership with the City of Knoxville, Art in Public Places Knoxville is a juried exhibition of large-scale sculptures created by exceptional artists. The 2017-2018 exhibition will feature up to twenty sculptures.
The selected works will be exhibited from March 2017-2018. $9,000 in monies will be awarded to artists.
In addition, all finalists whose works are installed will receive a stipend of $1,500 per sculpture – $750 upon delivery to the site and $750 upon removal. The sculptures that are sold during the exhibition will be delivered by Dogwood Arts to the buyer at the close of the exhibition and there will not be a $750 removal stipend awarded to artists on sold sculptures.
