Aqueous 2019: Water Soluble Media (Laguna Beach, CA) – Call For Artists

Las Laguna Gallery announces a call for artists for Aqueous 2019 Watercolor Exhibition. Open to artists working in water soluble media which include watercolor, acrylic, casein, gouache ink, and egg tempera. This is an open theme exhibition.

Deadline: 8 Jul 2019

Entry: $35 for up to 3 images

Work must be framed adequately, protected with glass or Plexiglas®, and wired for hanging. Sawtooth hangers are not acceptable. As our gallery is right on the coast, all works on paper must be framed. Artwork image size: Minimum size is 5″ x 7″; Maximum size is 36″ in the longest dimension. Please no digital media, photography, prints, or reproductions may be used in the painting.

Situated on a cliff, Laguna Village is one of the only three locations in Laguna Beach that offers unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. This gallery located in Central Laguna features valet parking, a restaurant and bar, and live music in the fire-side theatre nightly. Las Laguna Gallery is a member of ArtWalk Laguna Beach. This location is part of the free trolley system that runs through Laguna Beach.

Las Laguna Gallery is now accepting original submissions of artwork by those fifty years of age and older for a group exhibition, The Second Half. There are no restrictions on content, style, medium or context, and work may be traditional or digital. This is an open theme call for entry.

The Second Half entry fee is $35. Artist notification on May 11th, 2019. Show date on June 6th, 2019 to June 28, 2019. Artist / Gallery split – 65% Artist / 35% Gallery.

Collage And Digital Madness – Call For Artists

Las Laguna Gallery is seeking traditional collage art or collage digital artwork for Collage and Digital Madness. The goal in this exhibition is to feature the similarities and differences between the traditional and digital approaches.

Deadline: 6 Aug 2017

There are no limitations on sizes of work, although works over 60 inches are costly for shipping. Therefore, artwork sizes that are manageable are recommended. No video, sculpture, or jewelry will be considered at this time.

Selected artists will have their works displayed in a gallery located in Laguna Beach, California.
