2019 Adirondacks National Exhibition Of American Watercolors (Old Forge, NY) – Call For Artists

View, a multi-media arts center in Old Forge, seeks artists working in watermedia for the 2019 Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors. This exhibition is considered one of the top ten watermedia exhibitions in the nation. It draws artists and audiences from all over. Each year, artists compete to receive over $12,000 in prizes and awards. The exhibition is open to artists working in watercolors. All works must be of original design and execution, comprised of 90% watermedia.

Collage and works previously exhibited at View are not eligible for submission. There is a non-refundable entry fee of $30 for View members and $40 for guests, which enables an artist to submit up to two works. Each artist may submit a total of five works at a cost of an additional $10 per work. The submission fees help to support View’s gallery programs.

View, a multi-media arts center, seeks artists working in all forms of watermedia for the 2017 Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors.

Deadline: 3 Apr 2017

The show is open to artists working in transparent and opaque watercolors, acrylics, casein, egg tempera, gouache, and ink. All works must be of original design and execution, comprised of 90% watermedia. Collage and works previously exhibited at View are not eligible for submission. A non-refundable entry fee of $40/ $30 for members of View enables the artist to submit up to 2 works. Each artist may submit a total of 5 works at a cost of an additional $10 per image.

The 2017 Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors is one of the top ten watermedia exhibitions in the nation. It draws artists and audiences from all over. Each year, artists compete for a chance at over $14,000 in prizes and awards. Through the generosity of our sponsors, View offers 30 awards each year. Cash prizes range from $200 to $2500, totaling $14000 in available prizes.

2017 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition – Call For Artists

The Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE), Colorado, announces a call for artists for the 2017 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition (RMNW).

CAE is honored and excited to take responsibility for hosting this annual exhibition. RMNW attracts entrants and jurors from throughout the United States. It is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country.

CAE is pleased to announce that internationally acclaimed painter, author, and teacher, Stephen Quiller, will serve as the juror for the 2017 Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition. Mr. Quiller is best known for his work in watermedia. He was awarded the Gold Medal of Honor at the 148th International American Watercolor Society Exhibition in New York City in 2014. His paintings have been on the covers and the subjects of articles of many leading artist’s magazines. He has authored two best-selling books, Color Choices and Painter’s Guide to Color, and his Quiller Wheel is used by artists worldwide.

In 2016, RMNW awards totaled almost $9,000 in cash and merchandise to exhibition artists as selected by the juror. CAE produces a beautiful full color catalog featuring the artwork in the exhibition and indicating the award winners. All artists who are accepted into the exhibition will receive one complimentary catalog. Also, artists whom are accepted to RMNW four or more times are eligible to receive signature member status for the exhibition.

CAE’s mission is to promote and cultivate artistic excellence and enrich the art experience in our mountain community. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, CAE is committed to delivering engaging exhibitions and diverse educational programs for adults and children. In 2017 CAE is moving to a new facility which includes a modern gallery space housed in a historic old school house that became a church. This exhibition will debut in this new facility which has been highly anticipated by the community for over three years. CAE is located in Evergreen, Colorado, which is an affluent community that supports and buys art.
