Contemporary Art Gallery Online announces their 6th annual international All Animal 2019 online art competition. To be held from July 15th, 2019 to August 11th, 2019. Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from 2-D and 3-D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at Contemporary Art Gallery Online from August 13th, 2019 to September 10th, 2019. Artists should submit their best representational and non-representational art.

Entry Fee: $15 for up to three images and $25 for up to five images. Funds in US Dollars.
All Animal 2019 will be judged on painting/drawing, photography/digital art, and mixed media/3-D art. Awards will be given for the top 5 to 8 works selected. In addition to the winning images, Honorable Recognition awards will be presented. Winners will be announced on August 27th, 2019.
Prizes include memberships to Contemporary Art Gallery Online, marketing, winner’s certificates, and event collateral.

Currents New Media is an annual new media arts festival in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Its tenth year will take place from June 6 – 23, 2019. The Currents New Media 2019 festival is accepting artist submissions in all new media art genres.

Currents New Media 2019 Artist Benefits
Specific chosen artists will benefit from this opportunity by being flown out to Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA to install their art. They will be housed by Currents New Media in a hotel nearby the festival. They will be invited to spend several days in Santa Fe to experience the city. There is a possibility of giving an artist talk, presentation, or workshop at the festival. In 2018, the opening night of the festival boasted over 3,000 attendees.

Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition announces a call for artists for In The Groove focusing on digital original album cover art. This national print exhibition seeks to celebrate the mutually inspiring, creative relationship between music and art. It recognizes the profound cultural impact and influence of the art form itself, its trailblazing history, and ever evolving visual and conceptual strategies.
Deadline: 10 Mar 2018
Entry fee: $15/one image, $5/each, up to two additional artworks
Artwork must be the copyright property of the artist and is:
- by you for your own album of music, or
- a hypothetical/conceptual album cover inspired by a band/album/song (famous or obscure), or
- a commissioned piece for an actual band with express written permission to exhibit the image.
All work must be for sale; minimum $50 (30% commission to BWAC.) Artists’ submissions to be digital artwork only.
Jurors: Sal Cataldi, NYC-based musician and publicist, leader of critically acclaimed Spaghetti Eastern Music, founder and creative director of Cataldi Public Relations. Wendi Gueorguiev, BWAC Performance Series Coordinator, exhibiting artist.
In The Groove will be on view for three seasons, from May 12th – October 28th, 2018, in the performance area of BWAC’s gallery. BWAC will print and hang accepted submissions. Eighteen thousand annual visitors pass through the BWAC Gallery in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

BWAC’s 25,000 square foot gallery is in a Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront. The vista of New York Harbor, spanning the Statue of Liberty to the Verrazano Bridge, is one of the best in the city. Gallery-goers enjoy the nearby restaurants, bars, IKEA, and Fairway Market.
For over 20 years, BWAC has provided support for musicians and performers, offering performance based opportunities to participate as a major feature of opening receptions and specially themed exhibitions. Performances complement ongoing programming. Some notable events have included a long-running acoustic series, Red Hook Unplugged, an exhibition of Caribbean art and music, and the staging of multiple outdoor battle-of-the-bands featuring local rock groups. Musicians and performers from around the world perform on the BWAC stage on weekends from 1-6 pm throughout each exhibition season. The art exhibitions and performances are free and open to the public.

The Space and WIRED are looking to support innovation and will be funding three Creative Fellows to produce a new digital artwork that has the potential to impact the world: politically, socially, technologically, artistically.

The winners will each receive a £30,000 prize plus training and exposure. The Creative Fellow will produce an artwork that we won’t have imaged before. Something that makes us think differently.
This is an international opportunity so we are open to applications from anyone, in any industry, whether that’s in fine art, game design, community theatre, protest, social media, new technology or any other area of digital culture. Regardless of your training, background or location in the world, we want to hear from you.
Our three Creative Fellows will have a proven interest in art and technology and the successful proposals will be:

You need no formal qualifications to apply. Applications are welcomed from anywhere in the world. All you need is a passion for your work and an idea for a piece of digital art/culture.
The Fellows’ new work will be shown on The Space and WIRED UK online, they will also receive training and mentoring in addition to the full benefits of being a WIRED Innovation Fellow.
The three winning applications will be announced in Spring 2015 and revealed to the public at WIRED2015 in October. The Fellows retain all ownership of their work.
