About Contemporary Art Gallery Online
Contemporary Art Gallery Online is a collector’s number one source for all original contemporary art. CAGOnline is proud to showcase tomorrow’s art giants today. CAGOnline has created CAGO Media which has two purposes. First is to share art business ideas, and second to introduce artists to the buying public. CAGO Media accomplishes both of these initiatives by programming radio and TV shows.
The Business of Art Show airs bi-monthly, 15 to 20 minute episodes. Hosted by Sharon Belle Hawkshawe, each episode discusses everything pertaining to the Business of Art. The What is Art Show is a monthly 30 minute episode with hosts Michael Harris (art collector) and Sharon Hawkshawe (acclaimed artist), who discuss current art movements and art shows. The hosts are occasionally joined by museum curators, gallery owners, art critics, and art insiders. The third show is An Artist Speaks. These lively 30 minute episodes are in-depth interviews with artists discussing their art process, philosophy, and a candid look at their work. Every month, a video is produced showcasing the monthly art participants. Other videos highlight gallery artist and art styles.

Palacio is an arts and technology startup seeking artist contributions for their first project, Canvia, a new way of experiencing, promoting, and earning from art. Canvia is a digital display network that brings art into homes, offices, and hotels. The Canvia device uses smart technology to look like a real painting or print. It connects to an online library of art, enabling users to choose and explore works to suit changing moods, occasions, and contexts.
Deadline: 31 Dec 2019
Following a successful pre-sales campaign (including many office and hotel customers), Palacio is expanding their library. They are interested in licensing the works of artists of all types and backgrounds as digital reproductions for use on the Canvia network. Your works would only be accessible to our users and the license does not affect any physical sales, prints, or displaying your work elsewhere online.

Canvia represents a unique and complementary avenue for artists to share their artworks to global audiences. Contributing artists’ works will be included in an online library accessible by over 1,000 (and growing) art enthusiasts in homes, offices, and hotels. Patent-pending technology ensures these works will be presented in an authentic manner on the Canvia displays, which are designed to look like real paintings and prints.
Inclusion of links to artist portfolios and sales platforms will help to drive traffic and boost online presence. In addition, Palacio is allocating 70% of subscription revenues to contributing artists who sign up now.
Palacio’s mission is simple: make every home a palace by introducing smart and beautiful decorative products. The Palacio team brings deep industry experience across connected devices, IOT, cloud technologies, and video and image processing, as well as art curation, art direction, advertising, and media production. The Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists (CHF) announces a call for artists for the 2019 Business Accelerator Program, an intensive year-long course of business study for professional working artists. Through this innovative web-based program, currently in its fifth year, the national nonprofit organization provides visual artists with business training needed to succeed as entrepreneurs and make a complete living through the creation of their art.
Deadline: 30 Sept 2018
To thrive economically, artists must fund and operate their businesses while creating salable work that still realizes their creative vision. Visual artists are fully capable of achieving these goals. They need access to the right resources and skills. This is the goal of CHF’s comprehensive 2019 Business Accelerator Program.
2019 Business Accelerator Program Artist Benefits
The program is a year-long, intensive course of business study for visual artists. It is designed to impart the necessary business training to succeed as entrepreneurs and make a complete living through the creation of their art. Fellows in the program receive customized business training, publicity, network-building opportunities, and one-on-one support to boost their careers and help make their businesses self-sustaining.
The program consists of broad strategic workshops and labs delivered by remote technology (a laptop or desktop computer is required). It provides participants with practical knowledge that is actionable in the real world. It includes information about how to develop a business strategy, build a compelling brand narrative, find buyers for their art, negotiate contracts, handle copyrights, communicate more effectively, and manage their finances and taxes. Each workshop is led by an expert in the pertinent subject matter. The labs are deep dives that include extensive time for Q&A. This allows Fellows time to obtain feedback on specific questions and hear the perspectives of their peers.
About The Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists
The Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists (CHF) is a 501(c)(3). CHF supports visual artists like Clark Hulings, a nationally acclaimed American painter who embarked on his career when he was 40 years old, abandoning a thriving profession as a commercial illustrator to (in his words) teach himself to be a gallery painter. He was fortunate that he could finance this transition himself with savings from his illustration work.
Hulings believed that artistic development can and should occur continually. He never stopped trying to become a better artist, honing his craft until he was well into his 80s. He understood that no matter how great the talent or strong the discipline, the door to success swings on financial pegs. Career advancement is predicated on an artist’s ability to seize and exploit opportunities, especially unanticipated ones. This is why CHF offers exactly this kind of support.
Hulings understood the challenges of being a representational artist at a time when abstraction reigned. For that reason, CHF supports visual artists regardless of the styles or movements in which they work. CHF’s intent is to help professional, working artists thrive economically from the art that they choose to create and to bring about the kind of comprehensive cultural change that fills our world with a wide variety of art.
