[Verified Listing] Embracing Our Differences announces a call for artists for their outdoor juried art exhibition.
Artists worldwide are invited to share their perspective through the 2027 Embracing Our Differences international outdoor exhibition in Sarasota and St. Petersburg, Florida.
Each year, 50 artworks are selected and displayed on 16-foot billboard-sized panels in public parks, inspiring conversations about kindness, inclusion, resilience, and the beauty of our shared humanity.

Selected artists for the outdoor juried art exhibition gain the opportunity to have their work presented in a widely recognized public art exhibition that has been engaging audiences for more than two decades. Artwork is viewed by a broad and diverse public audience, including residents, visitors, educators, and students, creating meaningful opportunities for artists to share powerful visual messages with the community.
A total of $6,000 (USD) in awards will be distributed across three categories.
Awards include:
- $2,000 for Best-in-Show Adult
- $2,000 for Best-in-Show Student, and
- $2,000 for the People’s Choice Award.
The People’s Choice Award is determined through public voting by exhibition visitors, offering the community a direct role in recognizing a work that resonates strongly with viewers.

Embracing Our Differences is a nonprofit that uses large-scale public art to spark conversations about kindness, inclusion, and the value of human differences. Each year, they present an international outdoor exhibition featuring 50 billboard-sized works of art paired with thought-provoking quotes. [Side Arts Certified Sponsored Listing] Halo Arts Project announces a call for artists for the 7th annual Angels for Artists online and live art auction. Angels for Artists raises funds and exists to provide resources and programming support to visual artists in Florida. The online and live art auction is a fun-filled event.
Theme: “What is Beauty?”, a powerful exploration of presence – not just what the eye can see. Not always just an appearance. Beauty is a quality that comes from the object and rises from the mind. Beauty blends the senses and the soul. It can be chaotic, cultural, discreet, or fierce. The exhibition celebrates varies expression and aesthetic appreciation. Create a captivating aura that goes beyond what meets the eye. Explore the mirror of this powerful social construct that reflects and shapes a society’s values, fears, and aspirations.

Artists are invited to submit paintings, prints, archival photography, small sculptures, and mixed media works. Art must be original (several choices are helpful). The jury process helps to determine a balanced presentation of art. Canvases not already framed must be painted and gallery wrapped.
Open to US artists over the age of 18. All visual artistic mediums are eligible, including 2-D and 3-D (sculpture), textile, and craft/traditional as well as any style: landscape, abstract, figurative, and collage. No larger then 24×24
Art can be mailed, dropped off, or picked up at a mutually convenient time (for local artists). Art will be juried and you will receive a response within two weeks. Halo Arts Project accepts a maximum of 3 works.
Angels for Artists: Artist Benefits
- Three Peoples Choice Awards: 1st $100, 2nd $50, and 3rd $50.
- The artists whos work sells for the highest bid receives $1,500 cash award.
- Gallery showing from January 1st to January 24th at the John Sims/Halo Arts Project Gallery, 1639 Tenth Street, Sarasota, Florida 34236
- Exposure to hundreds of art-loving attendees and local philanthropists, recognition on the Halo Arts Project website and social media channels, network broadcast media, as well as in email blasts and the online event art catalog.
- Feature in the Angels for Artists Art Catalog includes donated artwork, artists statement, and contact information.
- Complimentary admission to Angels for Artists event on Sunday January 25, 2026 at SRQ Waterworks, Sarasota Florida. A fun-filled opportunity to purchase over 75 works from nationwide artists.
All works must be donated to the Halo Arts Project. 100% of the proceeds of the art sales goes to help fund the Halo Fellowship Awards of $5,000 each to visual artists in Florida.

This exhibition is open to all photography highlighting both residential and commercial architecture within Sarasota County to showcase at Art Center Sarasota. This show is open to all photography media. Juror(s) will see all requested information except the artist’s name and price. ACS Exhibitions Committee asks jurors to make all selections based solely on artistic merit. In an effort to maintain best gallery practices, ACS implements the following rules and regulations for this juried exhibition.
Awards will be decided by the jurors, Carl Abbott – FAIA, award winning local architect and member of the Sarasota School of Architecture, and Noelle McCleaf – photographer exploring themes of memory, relationship, and identity in the landscape of South Florida.

[Sponsored Listing] Art Center Sarasota announces a call for artists for “Here Comes the Sun,” a juried exhibition showcasing the wide-ranging talents of regional artists, July 23-August 20. An opening reception will take place on Friday, July 23, 6-8 p.m. The juror is Tampa-based artist and first-place recipient of the Kennedy Center’s 2020 VSA Emerging Artists Award, Savannah Magnolia.

All artworks for Here Comes the Sun will only be submitted online for jurying. This exhibition is open to all regional artists to showcase their work at Art Center Sarasota (ACS). This show is open to all media types.
Juror will see all requested information except the artist’s name. ACS Exhibition Committee asks jurors to make all selections based solely on artistic merit. Awards will be chosen by the juror in person when all works are onsite and installed at Art Center Sarasota. Art Center Sarasota is located at 707 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
Five Awards are given per show: First, Second, and Third Place plus two Merit Awards and four Special Awards. First place winner receives $800, Second Place $600, Third Place $400, each Merit Award $100 and each Special Award $50. All winners are required to fill out a W9 form prior to receiving a cash prize.
About Art Center Sarasota
Art Center Sarasota was the first arts and cultural institution in Sarasota, FL. It was founded in 1926 as the “Sarasota Art Association” by Marcia Rader, the art supervisor for the Sarasota County schools district. In the early years, the group met monthly and sponsored exhibits in rented facilities. The Association was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1943. It has been in its current location in the Sarasota Bayfront Cultural District since 1949.
Art Center Sarasota is a member-supported organization that offers curated and juried exhibitions, adult and youth education programs, outreach initiatives for underserved youth, and culturally related public programming. It is admission-free and open to all public. Its mission is to inspire individual creative expression, nurture artistic talent, and provide the community with accessible and diverse visual art opportunities.
