Announcing ViewPoint Gallery’s sixth international call for submissions for their international photography competition 2018. This competition gathers work from around the world for presentation to a fine art photography audience in Maritime Canada.
Deadline: 30 Apr 2018
This is an opportunity to exhibit artwork for one month at ViewPoint Gallery. It is the only gallery in Halifax devoted exclusively to inspiring, engaging, educating, and promoting the art of photography. Twelve winning images will be selected from the digital entries. A jury of three professional photographers will jury submissions.
One of the greatest challenges for artists is gaining gallery exposure outside of their immediate local arts environment. The ViewPoint Gallery International Photography Competition 2018 gives artists the opportunity to exhibit internationally in the vibrant arts community of Halifax, Nova Scotia, home of the world-renowned Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
Twelve winning images will be selected. One winner will be exhibited monthly. These winning images will be professionally printed, framed, exhibited, and offered for sale by ViewPoint Gallery starting in June, 2018. In addition, winners will have their work publicized by the gallery with media/press releases. The images will be promoted on Viewpoint’s website, newsletter and Facebook page.
