Selected artworks will lean into the complexity of what is considered domestic and offer a nuanced interpretation of the concept. Work in all media is welcome for consideration, and selections will be made based on the applicability to the theme as well as the group of pieces that work best as a whole. Submissions are limited to works with a maximum dimension of 72”.

SAM is pleased to welcome 2024 juror Cesar Cornejo, Associate Professor of Fine Art at the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds, United Kingdon.

Susquehanna Art Museum offers two awards for Domestic Affairs:

  1. The Juror’s Choice Prize is selected by the juror, Cesar Cornejo. The artist of the selected piece will be awarded $400.
  2. The Viewer’s Choice Prize will be awarded to the artwork that receives the most votes by museum visitors throughout the duration of the exhibition. The artist of the winning piece will be awarded $250. Voting for this prize will take place October 9 – December 20, 2024.
