Gallery will frame 20″x20″, 24″x20″ or 20″x24″ prints so the photographer only has to send matted or not, enlargements (on archival backing board). Winners will have an opening night event and be promoted on the Altera Vita Photography Contest’s and hosting gallery’s web sites and social media outlets. All work judged by a prominent juror in the photography world.

BWAC’s 8,000 square foot gallery is in a Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront. The vista of New York Harbor, spanning the Statue of Liberty to the Verrazano Bridge, is one of the best in the city. Gallery-goers enjoy the nearby restaurants, bars, IKEA, and Fairway Market.

For over 20 years, BWAC has provided support for musicians and performers, offering performance based opportunities to participate as a major feature of opening receptions and specially themed exhibitions. InLiquid’s long standing event, Art for the Cash Poor, is popular in the Philadelphia art community. It is an affordable art fair with all works priced $200 and below. The audience is made up heavily of curators, gallerists, art consultants, and art collectors.  The event has been recognized, over the years, as a go-to place to find affordable art. It is an opportunity for people at all points to start collecting art or add to their art collection. While this event is specifically targeted toward affordable art, many artists have gained additional opportunities including commissions, exhibitions, and gallery representation.

  • Affordable block-party style art sale that directly benefits visual artists, designers, and craftspeople
  • Average attendance is 2k – 3k each year
  • All work priced $200 and below
  • All proceeds from sales go directly to the artists
  • Open to artists, designers, and crafters who make and produce their own work

All participants are screened for quality and how they fit in with the event, submission does not guarantee acceptance. Artists may share a booth space at a discounted rate per each artist. Each artist must be screened and accepted individually (InLiquid will not match artists for shared spaces).

*The 0.6 mile span will ensure that participants and attendees can spread out accordingly to create the proper space needed in order to ensure safe social distancing. The event will be set up so as to follow all CDC Guidelines. Details and requirements might be subject to change given City and State requirements.

A $21 fee is required for up to three different artworks submitted. Detailed images of submitted works may be included. It is preferable that artworks are for sale.

Accepted artists will be notified by Friday, August 6th, 2021. Gallery-ready pieces must be delivered to the gallery before, but absolutely no later than, Friday, August 13th, 2021. Opening reception Saturday, August 14th, 2021. Deja 42 Art Gallery retains a 40% commission on all sold artwork.

Chosen artists for Magickal Beasts, Mystical Byways will be showcased in a gallery space located in the vibrant and eclectic East Passyunk Square area of South Philadelphia. Artists will have the opportunity to not only sell their work at a commission, but also sell prints and smaller pieces in a storefront retail space. Deja 42 Art Gallery promotes featured artists through social media such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter as well as the gallery’s website. Showing artists receive 60% of their retail ask. Openings are every second Saturday of the month. Openings draw a big crowd in an intimate space. This offers promotion, exposure, and open discussion among artists and potential buyers.

All artworks for Here Comes the Sun will only be submitted online for jurying. This exhibition is open to all regional artists to showcase their work at Art Center Sarasota (ACS). This show is open to all media types.

Juror will see all requested information except the artist’s name. ACS Exhibition Committee asks jurors to make all selections based solely on artistic merit. Awards will be chosen by the juror in person when all works are onsite and installed at Art Center Sarasota. Art Center Sarasota is located at 707 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.

Five Awards are given per show: First, Second, and Third Place plus two Merit Awards and four Special Awards. First place winner receives $800, Second Place $600, Third Place $400, each Merit Award $100 and each Special Award $50. All winners are required to fill out a W9 form prior to receiving a cash prize.

Art Center Sarasota was the first arts and cultural institution in Sarasota, FL. It was founded in 1926 as the “Sarasota Art Association” by Marcia Rader, the art supervisor for the Sarasota County schools district. In the early years, the group met monthly and sponsored exhibits in rented facilities. The Association was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1943. It has been in its current location in the Sarasota Bayfront Cultural District since 1949.

Art Center Sarasota is a member-supported organization that offers curated and juried exhibitions, adult and youth education programs, outreach initiatives for underserved youth, and culturally related public programming. It is admission-free and open to all public. Its mission is to inspire individual creative expression, nurture artistic talent, and provide the community with accessible and diverse visual art opportunities.
