National Collage Society Juried Exhibit (Online) – Call For Artists

The National Collage Society (NCS) is hosting its 37th Annual National Collage Society Juried Exhibit. The call for artists is open to all artists internationally. It will feature original mixed media glued collages. Works may be two or three dimensional. The show will be hosted online and therefor will be able to be viewed internationally.

Artists may enter up to two pieces of work, but may submit more than one image of each piece.  A jury of 3 art professionals will select the pieces for the show. Cash awards and merit certificates will be selected by an awards judge.

The National Collage Society will be awarding both cash and materials awards for the National Collage Society Juried Exhibit. Cash awards are allocated in multiple amounts, the minimum of which is $50. The award winners will be listed in the catalog and website. Each artist in the exhibit will receive a digital copy of the catalog.

Artists can list their work for sale and no commissions will be taken by the NCS.

The National Collage Society is a not for profit art organization created in 1985. For the past 36 years, the NCS has fostered collage as a medium. The goal of the National Collage Society is to cultivate the appreciation and interest in the recognized medium of collage. Collage has only been identified and defined during the twentieth century. NCS advances the stature of collage as a major art medium and assists in the public education through exhibits and workshops, lectures, and publications.

Indoors adds so much more with all the wonderful games like chess, mahjongg, bridge, and Monopoly.

Shots that focus on the game, equipment, or players are all part of the theme. Send in your interpretation of this broad and varied theme. As with all NYC4PA calls, all 2D photographic art is accepted. The call is open to any photographers worldwide – any age, amateur or professional.

NYC4PA gives photographers worldwide an opportunity to participate in themed calls for photographers. Each call offered has a different theme. The prizes total $3000. There is a grand prize, 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 20 juror’s selections, and 20 honorable mentions. All 50 winners are posted in a gallery on the NYC4PA website and included in an exhibition gallery. A professional photographer, gallery owner, or photography teacher is the juror.

About New York Center for Photographic Art

New York Center for Photographic Art offers six to eight opportunities a year for any and all photographers, from amateur to professional, male or female, young or old. Photographers are encouraged to submit photographs based on the specific theme as laid out in the call. Ten winners receive cash prizes. InLiquid’s long standing event, Art for the Cash Poor, is popular in the Philadelphia art community. It is an affordable art fair with all works priced $200 and below. The audience is made up heavily of curators, gallerists, art consultants, and art collectors.  The event has been recognized, over the years, as a go-to place to find affordable art. It is an opportunity for people at all points to start collecting art or add to their art collection. While this event is specifically targeted toward affordable art, many artists have gained additional opportunities including commissions, exhibitions, and gallery representation.

  • Affordable block-party style art sale that directly benefits visual artists, designers, and craftspeople
  • Average attendance is 2k – 3k each year
  • All work priced $200 and below
  • All proceeds from sales go directly to the artists
  • Open to artists, designers, and crafters who make and produce their own work

All participants are screened for quality and how they fit in with the event, submission does not guarantee acceptance. Artists may share a booth space at a discounted rate per each artist. Each artist must be screened and accepted individually (InLiquid will not match artists for shared spaces).

*The 0.6 mile span will ensure that participants and attendees can spread out accordingly to create the proper space needed in order to ensure safe social distancing. The event will be set up so as to follow all CDC Guidelines. Details and requirements might be subject to change given City and State requirements.
