Color 2019 (New York City, NY) – Call For Artists
Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) announces a call for artists for a national juried show, Color 2019, taking place this Autumn.

Early bird entries end on July 14th, midnight PST.
The juror for this show is Jocelyn Miller, Assistant Curator for Moma, PS1. Curators are Alicia Degener and Janice Jacob.
Color 2019 finalists cash awards
- Best of Show Gold: $800 cash prize given to one winner selected by Jocelyn Miller
- Best of Show Silver: $500 cash prize given to one winner selected by Jocelyn Miller
- Certificates of Recognition: $500 $100 each for 5 winners selected by Jocelyn Miller
- Peoples’ Choice: $200: The artist whose work is voted ‘Best’ by the most attendees during the course of the show will receive a cash prize after the closing Oct 27th
Social equity has been a big influence on the kind of art that BWAC likes to promote in their shows. They support the art of the mentally challenged and emerging artists. They are especially inclusive of art which expresses the following social issues: inclusion, diversity, justice for all, and social standards’ impact on human lives.
About Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition
BWAC’s 8,000 square foot gallery is in a Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront. The vista of New York Harbor, spanning the Statue of Liberty to the Verrazano Bridge, is one of the best in the city. Gallery-goers enjoy the nearby restaurants, bars, IKEA, and Fairway Market.
For over 20 years, BWAC has provided support for musicians and performers, offering performance based opportunities to participate as a major feature of opening receptions and specially themed exhibitions. Performances complement ongoing programming. The art exhibitions and performances are free and open to the public.
