About Las Laguna Gallery

Las Laguna Gallery is a contemporary and fine art gallery that features art from a diverse group of artists, representing a variety of mediums. Unlike most art galleries located in Laguna Beach, our gallery accepts work from artists outside of Laguna Beach. Since 2013, Las Laguna Gallery has held open calls for art, calls for entry, and calls for art opportunities for artists to promote and sell their art in a gallery. Each month they have a themed exhibition and works are promoted in the gallery, online, and to an extensive client list.

Quickly becoming one of the premier contemporary and fine art galleries in Laguna Beach, California; Las Laguna Gallery is dedicated to the exploration and engagement of contemporary and fine art visual culture – regionally, nationally, and internationally; through unique collaborations between artists, students, and the community.

Las Laguna Gallery is located on Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Village. Laguna Village is an artist alcove on the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This location is a must stop location with artist galleries and jewelry shops. The location features a restaurant, bar, and there is live music in the fire-side theater Tuesday through Saturday. The gallery is one of only 3 locations in Laguna Beach that offers an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. It is a desired destination for art, live music, and food.

About Laguna Beach, California

With more than 100 art galleries and artist studios to explore, you’ll come to understand why Laguna Beach is a beloved “art colony.” In fact, the area was discovered by artists. In the late 1800s, visitors were making an annual pilgrimage through the canyons to camp at Laguna Beach each summer. By 1903, painters like Norman St Clair were visiting from San Francisco, attracted to the landscape and light only found on the coast of Laguna. Like tourists of any era, St Clair returned home with glowing reports and landscape paintings that led his artist friends to follow him south. It wasn’t long before plein air (painting outdoors) artists like William Wendt and Frank Cuprien moved to Laguna Beach. Within a few years, Laguna Beach had a permanent population of about 300 people – half of whom were artists.

Limited artist booths available

Known for uncommonly successful art fairs in iconic locations, Superfine Art Fair is the top avenue for artists to meet eager collectors and sell their work in the US.

Ranked “Miami’s Favorite Art Fair” in 2017 by the Miami New Times, Superfine Art Fair makes a triumphant return to Miami Beach. The fair will feature:

  • 25,000 square feet of exhibition space on the 7th floor of 1111 Lincoln with 360 degree views of Miami Beach
  • Partnerships including The Bass Museum of Art, Miami’s tech entrepreneur community, and municipal organizations
  • 5,000 ready-to-buy visitors over 4 days (25% of Superfine visitors report buying art at each fair)

Hosting Superfine Miami Beach in March affords exhibitors:

  • A top notch, high-traffic venue in the middle of peak season
  • Access to an affluent, art-hungry audience with much less competition and “noise” than December/Art Basel week
  • Networking opportunities with institutions, municipalities, and decision makers
  • Be at the center of a new Superfine Art Week in Miami Beach, rather than on the periphery of a more spread-out, less focused event

Superfine Miami Beach will host the same infrastructure Superfine clients are used to:

  • 10’ tall hardwood walls and museum quality exhibition lighting in a new, environmentally-friendly setting
  • Open air space surrounded by glass walls to mitigate wind
  • Commitment to reducing carbon output
  • Portion of proceeds donated to fighting climate change
  • Only 70 artists and collectives will be accepted into Superfine Miami Beach 2021

Recent Superfine fairs include New York’s 5th Avenue show in Midtown Manhattan, San Francisco at Fort Mason (across from the Golden Gate Bridge), and Washington DC at Union Market. Artists report meeting dozens of new collectors and each fair generates hundreds of thousands of dollars in collective in-fair art sales.

On top of that I also sold 2 more pieces after the fair had finished thanks to being on the Superfine website. It felt like I was part of a great family and I can’t wait for the next one!” – Valerie Auersperg | Superfine SF

“My connections to collectors from the Superfine DC fair still echo to this day.  With my one-of-a kind creations going to collectors’ homes, sales that lead to numerous commissioned works, generating continuous interest is something I couldn’t have asked as a better art fair experience.” – Lina Alattar | Superfine DC 2019 artist

“Superfine has been a life-changing experience that accelerated my career and created so many new relationships with artists, collectors, curators, galleries and journalists that I still benefit from to this day.” – Sean Christopher Ward | Superfine SF, NY, DC

About Superfine Art Fair

Since 2015, Superfine has shown artists from around the world how to sell their art at art fairs in NYC, Washington DC, Miami Beach, LA, San Francisco, and Seattle. Marketing art is second nature to them, and they love nothing more than to share that with eager, entrepreneurial artists.

Consistently ranked among the best art fairs for artists in the world, Superfine Art Fair has helped hundreds of artists get over feelings of hopelessness and anxiety about selling their work while gaining visibility and, most importantly, finding new collectors for their work. Superfine Art Fair artists report feeling taken care of, empowered, and in control of their careers.

Curate, curate, curate. That’s the mantra for each fair. While every artist is incredible in their own way, Superfine’s team hand-picks those with individual style, a high level of professionalism, and top-quality work. You may even feel a little intimidated at first by the artists around you, but that feeling will soon switch to pride.

Superfine are big believers that a proper presentation makes all the differences. Whether open-air or indoor, art fairs exemplify a higher level of production than most art fairs for individual artists.

Buyers buy more art when they feel comfortable interacting with the artists. Superfine creates a relaxed atmosphere that encourages art sales.

Guest Artists Showcase (Piermont, NY) – Call For Artists

Guest Artists Showcase (Piermont, NY) – Call For Artists

[Sponsored Listing] The Piermont Flywheel Gallery is currently accepting submissions from artists for their annual Guest Artists Showcase, now back following last year’s hiatus. A 4-week guest show will allow artists to share and showcase their talent with gallery visitors.

The show will run from Thursday, January 13th through Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Click here for the application / registration

Enter by: 9 Dec 2021

Selected works will be chosen by a jury of gallery member artists. The number of pieces selected depends on the size of your work and the overall number of artists participating.

The showcase is a great way to come and experience the gallery and meet and mingle with current and prospective artists.

Piermont is an affluent and desirable place to live and visit. Cyclists from as far away as Brooklyn and day-trippers from New York City and New Jersey visit Piermont to take in the beautiful landscape, enjoy the Hudson River, shop the galleries and boutiques on Main Street and the Pier, and dine at its world-class restaurants.

“We want people to sense something special when they enter our gallery.” – Jeanne Treat-Tozer

About Piermont Flywheel Gallery

In 1992, Piermont’s first artist-run gallery opened its doors to the public. Twenty-four artists joined forces to create a cooperative gallery dedicated to exhibiting the finest work of artists living and working within the New York tri-state area. Piermont was still a relatively quiet community enjoying its lovely Hudson River setting.

Today, the village bustles with visitors from far and wide. The Flywheel Gallery is no longer the only co-op gallery. There is another one next door and many commercial galleries.

The Flywheel; however, can boast of being there from the beginning. When this dedicated group of artists got together to create an elegant, functional, and friendly artist-run space, Jeanne Treat-Tozer, a painter and one of the gallery’s founders, explained at the time, “We want people to sense something special when they enter our gallery. We want them to feel comfortable and confident when selecting works.”

Among the more notable members of the gallery was Alan Gussow, whose untimely death in May of 1997 was a shock to the arts community worldwide.
