Social Equity
As the center of Sarasota’s visual arts community, Art Center Sarasota focuses on accessibility, diversity, and engagement. Artists, creatives, and visitors enjoy the Center’s education and exhibition programs. The juried exhibitions, such as this call, are open to anyone of any skill level, which leads to dynamic exhibitions of novice to professional artists in the same space. Broadening the juried exhibition to a national call helps marginalized communities in Sarasota identify with more diverse works by artists of similar backgrounds, that may not be represented by our local and regional artists.
