Summer Residency in New Mexico - Call for Artists

Summer Residency in New Mexico – Call for Artists

The Starry Night Residency Program announces a call for artists for a Summer Residency in New Mexico.

Call for artists application / registration

Deadline: 29 Apr 2016

The Starry Night Residency Program provides artists, writers, and curators with the opportunity to live and work within a small, creative community. Located in the downtown historic hot springs district of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, the program is a place where our participants can find quiet solitude and focus on their work.

Artists accepted into the Summer Residency in New Mexico will have the option of being included in our third edition of Artists to Look Out For, published in paperback and digital editions, and will be available for distribution via Amazon, Lulu Press, and Kindle in December 2016.

Artists accepted into the Summer Residency in New Mexico will have the opportunity to enroll in our online professional practices program, Artist Resources & Tools, at an 80% discount. Standard enrollment fees for the eight week course are $995, but artists who are accepted into the residency program have the option to enroll in the self study or the interactive, guided course beginning in the Spring of 2016 for only $195. This program is geared towards visual artists, but the course content can be applied to other disciplines as well.

Starry Night is dedicated to the advancement of artists through multiple programs that nurture and support their careers. This includes the programs mentioned above, as well as the Starry Night Exposure program which brings the work of contemporary, emerging artists to Miami for exhibition during Art Basel Miami. The Exposure program is for serious visual artists who wish to gain rapid exposure at the largest art fair in the Americas.  Enrollment to our online professional practices course, Artist Resources & Tools, as well as automatic inclusion in the Artists to Look Out For publication is included with the Exposure Program.  This opportunity is exclusively for working artists who are looking to secure relationships with galleries, dealers, and collectors in the high traffic environment of Art Basel Miami, while developing their professional presentation for a successful career in the arts.
