Snowdogs: Tails in Wales – Call For Artists

Tŷ Hafan are bringing an exciting mass participation sculpture trail, Snowdogs: Tails in Wales, to the Cardiff area in Autumn 2017. They are inviting submissions for prospective designs for their pack of 1.5m Snowdogs.

Call for artists application / registration

Deadline: 28 Apr 2017

Snowdogs: Tails in Wales aims to promote the social, cultural, and economic value of art by commissioning artists to create unique designs to be enjoyed by the whole community, with sponsorship from local businesses. This is a unique opportunity for artists to use their creative skills to raise money for Tŷ Hafan so they can continue to support children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Artwork will be showcased to an audience of artists, businesses, and the wider Cardiff community. Additionally, commissions are available for those that submit early applications.

About Tŷ Hafan

Tŷ Hafan is one of the UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities. It offers the only children’s hospice service in south Wales. Although the hospice is based in Sully, the dedicated team offers comfort, care, and support to life-limited children, young people, and their families throughout Wales so they can make the most of the time they have left together. Tŷ Hafan allows parents and carers to relax and recharge their batteries during short breaks at the hospice. Demands of 24/7 care are met by our staff. They make sure the needs of brothers and sisters are never forgotten. They provide services such as family support, complementary therapy, music therapy, and outreach play in the hospice and family home. Tŷ Hafan provides support to the whole family almost anywhere, whether it is at the hospice, home, or hospital.
