White Center Jubilee Days Street Fair – Call for Artists

White Center Jubilee Days is a two day event Friday and Saturday, July 18th-19th with two stages of entertainment, a huge car show, a beer garden, carnival, and parade. We are looking for vendors to be a part of this great community festival.

Share your Artistic Talents: Support Nature – Call for Artists

Taltree Arboretum & Gardens is hosting the third annual Glow: Art after Dark event! Come get your glow on and see what comes alive after dark! This event showcases nocturnal nature and glow-in-the-dark art exhibits and performances.

Deadline: 7 Aug 2015.

We invite artists to create their own works for this unique event. Artist criteria:

  • All work must be designed and executed by the exhibiting artist
  • All work must glow in the dark
  • All work must be family friendly and acceptable for viewing by children of all ages
  • All work must be capable of being displayed outdoors. Artists will be offered a 10×10 outdoor space. Arrangements can be made for a larger site if necessary.
  • Taltree will supply electricity. We prefer that all work use alternative energy, such as solar or LED lighting.
  • To support our efforts in conservation, we prefer that all work have an environmental/conservation theme.
  • Artist are allowed to sell and promote only work they have created
  • Artists must provide their own table, chairs, tent, etc
  • If artist is selling product, artist or representative must be present during event
  • If artist is installing a temporary piece only, artist does not have to be present however the piece must be “slip-a-switchable” in that Taltree staff can easily turn the exhibit on and off. While we will make every effort to protect your work, Taltree Arboretum & Gardens is not liable for any damage occurring while your piece is on our property.
  • Performing artists are also welcome.

This is an opportunity to display at an event that attracts thousands of people from Northwest Indiana and beyond. This is a free opportunity to the artisan and considered in-kind support.

Taltree Arboretum & Gardens is a dog-friendly, 330-acre, oak preserve of formal gardens, woodlands, wetlands and prairies that offers a variety of events, classes and exhibits year-round.

Located approximately 25 miles from the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and 60 miles southeast of Chicago in Valparaiso, Indiana, Taltree offers beautiful vistas, quiet corners and hiking trails to escape into its diverse landscape.

Taltree is home to 112 unique oak taxa–one of the most diverse oak collections in the nation. The centerpieces of the collection are the Bur Oaks. Other North American, Asian and European species can be seen in the Oak Islands exhibit.

Our most intricate formal garden is the Taltree Railway Garden. This garden features model steam trains in a miniature conifer and woody plant landscape. The garden tells the story of early 19th century U.S. railroad history featuring scenes of the Civil War, westward expansion and the American Industrial Revolution.

41st Annual Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass Arts Festival

The Arts Festival is a much loved Fox Valley tradition where friends and family gather, shop and relax all in support of the Arts in their community.

Deadline: 19 Jul 2015.

The juried festival features fine arts and crafts from artists across the region in a variety of media. The festival attracts approximately 5,000 patrons each year and features great food, children’s activities and a beer garden with live bands on the lakeside lawn of the museum.

Proceeds from the event support educational programming at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass. General admission to the museum is free for everyone, always.

Artist amenities include an artist’s breakfast, set-up and take down assistance, booth sitting options and a lovely 10ft x 10ft space in a shaded Riverside Park park along the banks of the historic Fox River.

This event is a fundraiser for Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass (BMMOG) in Neenah, WI. The museum has been open to the public free of any admission charge since 1959. In addition to its permanent glass collections, BMMOG presents two world-class, temporary exhibitions each years as well as a high school art exhibition. The Glass Studio at BMMOG offer classes in flameworking and fusing throughout the year.

Art Crawl Experience (ACE): A qarterly art, music, and food event that takes place on the second Saturday of February, May, August, and November.

The Downtown Anaheim Association is a non-profit, mutual benefit organization and a public/private partnership responsible for promoting, developing and maintaining downtown as a vibrant and diverse center, encompassing commercial, cultural, educational, recreational and government uses.

The DAA is committed to attracting people to the downtown area by hosting and coordinating creative events.

Artoberfest Music Festival Call for Artists

Artists of Yardley – This is an annual one day music event the first Saturday of October featuring 5 or 6 bands, craft vendors and food trucks. This is a rain or shine out door event.

This is a 6 year old art center located on a beautiful 180 acre farm in Bucks County, PA. The farm can be seen from the Newtown exit of I 95 – a great location for this type of event.
