The Silence Is Over – Call For Artists

The Silence Is Over – Call For Artists

Infuse Gallery announces a call for artists for The Silence is Over: : A Journey of Empowerment from Survivors of Sexual Abuses.

Call for artists application / registration

Deadline: 1 Mar 2017

The Silence Is Over is an invitation to join a global community of artists that are ending the silence and shame around our stories of sexual trauma and, instead, are offering them as an opportunity and celebration of empowerment. It is a call to the rest of the world to set a higher standard and end these atrocities. We live in a divided time where fear and intimidation are rampant. By telling our stories we are letting go of fear, honoring our pain we have endured, and celebrating our return to empowerment and wholeness. We are inviting others to join us in this next stage of calling forward a better, unified world that is free from abuse.

Artists will be part of a permanent virtual exhibition on the Infuse Gallery website and several will be selected for a physical exhibition in Summer of 2017. Sales from this exhibition will benefit the artists and two nonprofit organizations: PAVE (Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment) which offers awareness campaigns and support programs to survivors of sexual assault and Blossomy which works with survivors of human trafficking in India. Each artist’s story is an opportunity to help these organizations and other survivors like them as a means of uniting, empowering, and fund-raising through sales of the art in this exhibit.

About Infuse Gallery

Infuse Gallery mission is to use art as a vehicle for global change. We have partnered with several nonprofits. For each piece of art sold, a percentage of the sale is donated directly back to them. We represent artists with world-wide success while also providing a platform to those served through the nonprofits to sell their art in the gallery. This gives them creative and financial empowerment and an opportunity to give back to those who helped them.

We showcase some of the world’s best artistic talent. Every artist in Infuse Gallery selects one of our partner nonprofits for which to donate. They select the percentage from their portion of the sale and Infuse Gallery matches the contribution.

Whether you buy a painting from a school girl in Afghanistan, man living under a bridge in Denver, or career artist who has shown their work in galleries and museums internationally, you can buy this art knowing your purchase has changed a life for the better and helped a charity grow.

Lines into Shapes – Call for Artists

Art Center & Gallery of Estes Park is in the 20th year of offering a national showcase, Lines into Shapes, for a diverse collection of the fine artworks.

Call for artists application / registration

Deadline: 29 Aug 2016

Works for Lines into Shapes will be displayed throughout our beautiful gallery in the high mountain town of Estes Park, Colorado.

Up to $4,000 will be awarded in prize money:

  • $1,000 Best in Show
  • $200 1st Place in each Category
  • $100 2nd Place in each Category
  • Plus additional awards

One of the reasons the Art Center was established was that local artists were not encouraged to exhibit their artwork in any of the local galleries. They started seeking out ways to show their work and exhibited wherever they could, usually for a weekend or a month in places like the Stanley Village and at the Stanley Hotel. They realized that what they really wanted was a facility where they could display and sell their work on a long-term basis. The Art Center became a non-profit organization in September 1987. The mission is to promote visual art and artists in the Estes Park area by providing a facility, support, exhibition opportunities, present opportunities for education in the visual arts, and act as an advocate and partner in the community for development of the visual arts.

Interconnections – Call for Artists

Off the Hook Arts announces a call for artists for Interconnections, a unity and diversity juried art show.

Call for artists application / registration

Deadline: 4 Apr 2016

Interconnections is a collaborative arts event of classical chamber music performance, morning hands, and a juried professional art show. Local artists are welcomed to submit smaller pieces that reflect their impressions of how visual art and music interconnect in a relevant and meaningful way in our culture and time.

In an attempt to encourage purchasing of art work, we will place inserts in programs and in prominent locations in the gallery and advise patrons that purchased works can be donated back to our Off the Hook Arts Lending Library. In return, we will help find permanent public and private locations for art work to be hung which will be viewed by children and their families on a daily basis. The goal is to promote the value and beauty of visual art in every day spaces. Organizations involved in these gifts will be Poudre School District schools, local hospitals and rehabilitation centers, Habitat for Humanity, and Project Self Sufficiency.

Artists benefit from sale of works with a 70/30 split with Off the Hook Arts Academy education programs. Two tickets to the Grand Opening with music provided by the Miami String Quartet on June 23rd with food and wine reception included.
We are encouraging patrons to purchase works and donate them back to our Lending Library so that children can gain a deeper understanding about the value and beauty of real visual art work in the spaces in which they live.

Off the Hook Arts’ goal is to promote a deeper understanding of the value and pure joy of learning more about music, live performance, and the connectedness that all types of music have to each other. We seek to educate people about the importance of interdisciplinary interaction of science and music. We give youth the opportunity to have these experiences to spur on their own development whether it be from taking one of our SummerFest STEAM classes or by being coached in a chamber music group at their school. When youth are exposed to high levels of artistry across all disciplines, they will be inspired to think creatively about their own futures as scientists, artist, musicians, entrepreneurs, or whatever career they pursue.
