Commonwheel Artists 41st Annual Labor Day Art Festival will be held Labor Day Weekend and tends to attract more than 12,000 visitors to historic Manitou Springs, just 10 minutes away from Colorado Springs. Art patrons are delighted to find many past favorite artists mixed in with some exciting new artists at Commonwheel’s Art Festival.

Commonwheel aims to present a high-quality show at a reasonable cost to our artists with a good mix of media categories representing unique, creative work with price points to appeal to and attract a broad audience of art buyers. Sculptors, potters, photographers, jewelers, painters, glass artists and all artists who create any original artwork are invited to apply.
Digital files submitted for jurying must be a non-altered representation of the actual artwork to be considered for exhibition. Resale and wholesale items are not permitted. Artist may only show and sell work from the category in which they have been accepted. Artist must be present at show (no reps or agents). We have an extensive event targeted marketing, and promotion campaign to better market, recognize, and celebrate our festival artists.
This Waste Wise festival requires Food Vendors to use Eco-friendly food serviceware. The Art Festival is enlivened with talented local musicians, specialty food items and creative activities where kids can try their hands at creating art. This family-friendly festival will feature something for everyone! Admission is always Free!
Commonwheel Artists Co-op has had a member owned Art Gallery since 1974 and hosted the Labor Day Art Festival since 1975. A group of young artists started this adventure in promoting Art in the Pikes Peak Region 41 years ago and is considered the premiere destination Art Festival by art patrons all along the Colorado Front Range.

Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center – The Representing the West exhibition is open to all artists. We are interested in work that answers the question, “What does the American West mean to me?”
