The Lumen Prize Exhibition, the global award and tour for digitally created art, is delighted to announce that it is opening its fourth call for entries on 9th March 2015.

This year, there will be a US$10,000 prize fund as well as a global tour to Asia, Europe and the US.
There are eight prizes to be won:
- $3000 for Lumen Prize Gold
- $2000 for Lumen Prize Silver
- $1000 for Lumen Prize Bronze
- $1000 for the Lumen Creative Coding Award recognizing excellence in art that is originally coded by the artist.
- $1000 for the Lumen Immersive Environments Award recognizing excellence in the creation of an environment for the viewer to enter either virtually or physically.
- $1000 for the Lumen Performance Award, in partnership with the Welsh National Opera, recognizing excellence in work which incorporates sound and movement. The winner will receive a free mentoring session with the WNO.
- $750 for the Lumen Creative Still Award, recognising excellence in a still image.
- $250 for the Lumen Prize People’s Choice Award – chosen by a public vote from the top 100 Works selected from the 2015 Lumen Online Gallery.
The Lumen Jury Panel will also select 25 works, including the 7 prize winners, to be part of a global exhibition tour that will visit Europe, US and Asia.
Now in it’s fourth year, The Lumen Prize Exhibition celebrates the very best art created digitally by artists around the world. Its goal is to celebrate the power and potential of this exciting genre through an annual competition and global tour of works selected by an eminent panel of judges.
Artists may submit work made on electronic devices, such as smart phones, tablets, 3D printers and computers using apps, software or original coding. Each year, the winning works tour the world. Every Lumen show includes a workshop or seminar on digital art and engages with digital artists locally. As of spring 2015, the Lumen Prize has staged 14 shows around the world, including venues in China, the US, and across Europe.
We are honoured to be working with a range of charities, using our exhibitions as a tool for social change through a range of fund-raising events. A percentage of each entry fee is donated to our founding partner charity, Peace Direct.

Le CouveNt is pleased to announce a call for applications for the 2015 Grant Program.

The le CouveNt Grant for Artists encourages the mobility of young artists as well as the expression of cultural diversity. The grant is aimed to worldwide emerging artists, from all disciplines.
The laureate will benefit from full financial support during their stay at le CouveNt.

Le CouveNt is a creative space dedicated to music, visual arts, writing, multimedia and performing arts. Its mission is to promote contemporary artistic practices and the exchange between artists and co-creation projects that connect different creative processes.
Our approach includes:
- Art residencies and workshops
- Musical performance coaching sessions
- Concerts, exhibits, and performances
- Sound recording sessions
While in residence, the artists will benefit from an intense production time enhanced by the exchange of ideas and experiences with peers. Le CouveNt can provide lodging for up to 20 people and working space for up to 5 visual artists at the same time. Le CouveNt also organizes Open Studio events, for the public to witness the creative process and work in progress of the artists in residence. The purpose is to provide the forum for communication and exchange of ideas. Each artist designs the format, agenda and dynamics that best suits their work and the messages they want to pass on to the audience.
Le CouveNt works with a large network of local professional artists (arts advisory committee) and technicians (sound, lighting) and it is recognized as the regional culture & arts reference. Our premises include an old convent (17th century), that has been restored over the last three years with the aim to preserve its history and style. There are several working spaces (individual or shared), several exhibition and concert rooms, individual and double bedrooms, a large common kitchen/dining room, sitting and relaxing area. Le ConveNt is also equipped with Wi-Fi & ethernet internet access. Computers (Mac OS X / Windows / Linux) are also available on demand. A car is available for the individual use of artists in residence without additional cost (except for fuel).
The former convent is situated in Auzits, a village in Aveyron, France south west region. Located on top of the village, it has breathtaking views of the Cantal and Aubrac hills. The nearest airport, Rodez, is only 20 minutes from Le CouveNt, with 3 to 5 regular flights of about one hour from/to Paris. The nearest train station is located a few kilometers away.
This project is supported by the European Union through the LEADER funds. Encouraging the implementation of integrated, high-quality and original strategies for sustainable cultural and artistic development, It has a strong focus on partnership and networks of exchange of experience.

Liverpool Art Fair is an open submission, selling showcase, designed to provide a public platform for the region’s artistic talent, so we encourage all artists based within a 25 mile radius of Liverpool to submit work for inclusion and become part of this exciting event.

The fourth annual Liverpool Art Fair will take place from 1st – 4th May at The Gallery Liverpool, in the city’s creative hub, the Baltic Triangle.
Liverpool Art Fair is a free event, taking place over the May Day bank holiday weekend and open to all, which aims to showcase a wide range of affordable original art, break down barriers and develop the art market in the city region. It provides a unique insight into the area’s creative talent and offers the opportunity for everyone, from seasoned collector to first time art buyer, to own their own piece of the Liverpool art world.
Liverpool Art Fair was launched in May 2012 as part of the inaugural Liverpool Art Month, at the then brand new Camp and Furnace, which again hosted the event in 2013. Each year we have showcased the work of almost 100 artists, selected from hundreds of submissions. In 2014 we moved to our new home at The Gallery Liverpool, and as we go into the fourth year of the event, Liverpool Art Fair is becoming a key annual event in the arts calendar of the North West, with both audiences and sales growing year on year.

Dacia Gallery invites artists to participate in an exciting Artist Residency program in Romania. The residency is located in Transylvania at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains in the medieval city of Sibiu.

The Sibiu Artist Residency provides an academic program to inspire, refine and redefine the creative direction of artists in a figure and landscape painting intensive four-week program. Including two art exhibitions, one in Sibiu, Romania and one at Dacia Gallery in New York City.
