Art Hive Online – As we prepare to open our virtual doors, our curators are seeking fine art submissions from artists in such media as drawings, paintings, mixed media, digital art and photography.

Our goal is to offer a diverse selection of high quality artworks across a wide variety of genre, style, size and media except for video art. Our expert panel will carefully review all submissions.

Art Hive Online is a new online platform and social network for professional emerging and established artists. Our “Connect, Select, and Collect” platform is designed to build bridges between artists, art enthusiasts and art collectors, creating access to a wider online buying audience.

Artsplosure: The Raleigh Arts Festival Call for Artists

The Art Market with more than 170 visual arts and crafts exhibitors from across North Carolina and the nation. Kidsplosure, showcasing multiple interactive educational activities and entertainment for children and their parents.

This past year, we celebrated the 35th anniversary of Artsplosure – the Raleigh Arts Festival! Since its inception in 1980, the spring festival has entertained and inspired hundreds of thousands of people, introducing them to underrepresented artists and performances. Every aspect of the festival is curated with an eye toward presenting quality art – and a healthy dose of the unexpected. The festival balances critically acclaimed national artists with some of North Carolina’s best performing and visual artists. The result is an eccentric mix of artistic expression, undoubtedly with something that appeals to everyone.

Call for submissions

SPECTRE Arts boasts a 600 sq ft. gallery space in the front of the building. We are currently accepting exhibition proposals. All artists from various mediums are encouraged to apply. Exhibitions are scheduled for one, two and three months.

Proposal Deadlines: SPECTRE Arts will accept proposals on an ongoing basis. Artists must complete the proposal application for consideration. If you are chosen to exhibit with us, we will contact you with regards to the exhibition schedule. Once accepted, artists must submit additional material for publicity and marketing purposes.

SPECTRE Arts is a venue for the visual and performance arts in Durham, North Carolina. Located in the downtown Golden Belt Historic District, it is a neighbor to The Cotton Room, Golden Belt and Liberty Arts Warehouse. The organization’s historical building was constructed as a church in 1910 and was used for this purpose until late 2011. After a year and a half of renovations, the space has been revitalized and now includes artists’ studios as well as exhibition and performance spaces. Through a variety of programming, SPECTRE Arts aims to encourage collaboration and the exchange of creative ideas.

SPECTRE Arts believes that art is a vital form of communication and social engagement, and, thus, we are dedicated to promoting contemporary visual and performative practices by stimulating dialog between artists and community.

Fine Contemporary Crafts of the Southeastern US

Artspace invites artists working in a variety of craft media to enter the Fine Contemporary Craft Exhibition of the Southeastern US, a biennial national juried exhibition. Eligible media include functional or sculptural works in the following: basketry, ceramics, fiber, furniture (any media), glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, handmade paper and wood. Entries will also be juried for cash prizes. This year’s juror is Stefanie Gerber Darr, Gallery Manager at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Application fee is $30. Submit applications ONLY to CaFE at www.callforentry.org.

Artspace is a nonprofit visual arts center in Raleigh, NC dedicated to providing arts education and community outreach programs, creating an environment of 120 professional artists and presenting nationally acclaimed exhibitions. Located in downtown Raleigh in the historic Sanders Ford building, Artspace has been providing the community with the opportunity to interact with working artists and to participate in hands-on arts education since 1986.
