MART Residency Space – Call for Artists

MART is proud to announce their exciting new International Residency Programme. Hosting international contemporary artists, we are committed to supporting the production of high quality, experimental and challenging work. Through the residency we hope to encourage, process, experimentation and boundary pushing ideas.

Deadline: 26 May 2015

Resident Artist’s will benefit from:

  • A dedicated, safe and comfortable work space
  • Ideally located in vibrant area 20 min walk from city centre
  • Working alongside another international contemporary artist
  • Curatorial input from the MART curators
  • End of residency exhibition or showcase, if desired
  • Exposure through MART’s national and international network: residents will be featured on website (one of the largest online galleries in Ireland), newsletter, and social media
  • Working in the context of MART’s established artistic community with 80 studio members
  • MART’s supportive, friendly and vibrant ethos, with frequent exhibitions, events, and studio member crits
  • Artist’s may potentially be considered for upcoming local and international exhibitions with MART and visiting curators
  • Access to shared tools, audio & visual equipment
  • Assistance from our onsite carpenter, electrician and technicians.
  • Super Fast broadband.
  • 24hr access and security

Newly converted stables situated in the heart of Rathmines, and alongside the iconic MART Firestation Gallery and Studios. Residents will be able to benefit from the central location and MART’s established reputation in the Dublin art scene, and internationally. The workspace is 6×6 meters, with large double barn doors, and access to kitchen area. In this residency two contemporary artists will work alongside each other in an environment of dialogue and support.

897 Square Show – Call for Artists

The 2015 Gallery 76102 summer show, 897 Square, is open to all artists living in, working in, or otherwise affiliated with Tarrant County.

Call for artists application

Deadline: 15 May 2015

Fee: $30

Limit: 3 Submissions

All visual media are eligible, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, and video (artist must supply all required electronic equipment). Maximum size for 2D works is no larger then 5’X5’, while 3D must be able to fit through a standard sized doorway. Each artist can submit up to 3 pieces that are ready to hang or display.

The exhibition is scheduled for June 11th, 2015 to July 31st, 2015. The opening reception is on Thursday June 11th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Grand Prize will be a solo show in the gallery, with other prizes to be announced.

Gallery 76102 serves as a contemporary and upbeat space for local (and those with ties to the local community) artists to showcase their talents and grow as professionals.

Visaural: Sight, Sound, and Action – Call for Artists

Artists are invited to submit works around themes of activism that combine visual art in all media with music. Held in concert with the Honk! Festival of Activist Bands.

Deadline: 5 Jun 2015

This exhibition asks artists to create a ‘visaural’ (visual plus musical) statement; add music to your art.  Works exhibited in the gallery will be displayed with a QR code for viewers to access the paired song.

Entry fee: $30 for 3 entries, $15 for full-time students.

Venue: Nave Annex Gallery, 53 Chester Street, Somerville, MA

Opening: 10/9/15.

Duration: 10/8 – 10/31/2015

Jurors: Susan Berstler, Mary Curtin, and Cecily Miller will choose the top 3 works for awards.

This exhibition will benefit the Boston City Singersand, the Nave Galleries, and will receive donations from GutfreundCornettArt.

Each show has a full color catalog, online gallery, and programming to accompany the exhibition.

GutfreundCornettArt specializes in creating exhibition opportunities for artists on themes of art as activism to stimulate dialog, raise consciousness and create social change. With backgrounds in national and international projects, advocacy, non-profits, government, corporate art and a successful history in DIY Blockbuster shows on feminist issues, Gutfreund and Cornett have combined these skills to provide unique opportunities for artists, communities and our relevant non-profit collaborators to come together around social and environmental themes.

Irreversible – Call for Artists

IRREVERSIBLE is constantly searching for new ideas to bring to our audience. We are accepting proposals to become part of our 2015 season programming, we welcome artists and collectives from around the world practicing in any form of media.

Deadline: Ongoing

Open to all professional artists from all backgrounds: emerging, mid career, established, national, and international artists over 18 years of age.

Eligible Media: painting, sculpture, ceramics, textile, photography, mixed media, digital art, installations, earth art, video, and performance.

We welcome oversize work, assemblages, performances, and installations; however, it requires that artwork meets all specifications and be delivered, installed and removed by the artist (or their agent) upon arrangement with IRREVERSIBLE staff. All work requiring electricity must auto on/off with the line power.

IRREVERSIBLE is a multidisciplinary collective for emerging and established artists and creatives. IRREVERSIBLE makes buying and collecting art accessible and affordable. Many of our artists and collaboration with galleries and Art Fairs have succeeded outside of the traditional format, emerging through all backgrounds we deal with cutting-edge formats, that are viewed as one of the most influential exhibition platform of our era. Our Projects and Magazine have become breeding grounds for cutting edge exhibitions. Our versatility provides a platform for emerging artists, giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent, as well as offering more established artists the freedom to play and produce experimental exhibitions.
